House Lungbarrow from Doctor Who is a domain of the Spiral
house lungbarrow from doctor who is a domain of the spiral!
So…what do you think happened to the House of Lungbarrow and it’s members after the events of the titular novel (Lungbarrow)? I mean we know it was reinstated and Innocet was named as housekeeper. But other than that. We don’t know much. I remember reading somewhere that they were all murdered but I can’t remember where that was. What do you think?
Per "Crimes Against History":
The survivors of House Lungbarrow plan to build themselves a new House, though records are vague as to what happens next. It's generally believed that the survivors die out in the difficult years which follow... but their disappearance from history occurs at exactly the same time as the rise of Faction Paradox, the Grandfather's own new House. The two may or may not be connected. It merely needs to be pointed out that traditionally, the Faction does have a habit of recruiting members from amongst the homeless and dispossessed.
A little House Lungbarrow doodle I did last year and then promptly forgot about under Covid life. I like it! A bit more focused on the comfier, if strange, details in Orman/Blum, Parkin, and Cornell’s EDAs than Platt’s disturbing gothic fever dream, I think...
“#DoctorWho Companion portrait #251: Badger, the Doctor's childhood friend and protector (Lungbarrow)”
Paul Hanley’s depiction of Badger, the avatroid friend and protector of the Doctor in Lungbarrow and Auld Mortality.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10290119/38/The-Sirens-of-Destiny Updated my Romana/Braxiatel fanfic! Really excited about this chapter since it's Braxiatel coming back home to House Lungbarrow. For those who don't know, Thyra is my original Time-Lady Character. Here's a sneak peak: - "Welcome to the dark and ancient House of Lungbarrow. Stick close to me." He told her sternly and he placed his palm upon the wooden door and for a brief moment, there was a whirring of electric noises coming from it before the door swung inwards, allowing them in and they stepped inside House Lungbarrow. Thyra looked around in awe, seeing it's long and spacious rooms and carved, gothic gargoyles were hung about on the architecture ceiling. The House itself was dark and gloomy and covered in dust and Thyra gathered it hadn't been used in a very long time and for a brief moment she wondered why. She took another close look, looking at the furniture and seeing that all the furniture was very large and twice the height of her father and she saw the tables and chair scatter about in the distance. Braxiatel's lips curled up into a slight grimace, remembering why he always tried to avoid coming back home much like his brother. "I always did hate living here." He murmured as they walked forwards down the long, dark corridor filled with paintings of past Time-Lord's and Time-Ladies who have lived in House Lungbarrow were peering down at them and Thyra couldn't help but feel as though she was being judged by them. A table bumped into him and Braxiatel scowled, kicking it out at the tables legs in annoyance. "Out of the way." The table scattered to the other end of the hallway.
