Big pearly whites! Graffi technically does know how to smile, but if you specifically ask him to, he's not gonna know to do a very good job.

House sprites are fun little guys - that is, until you let one have an avatar that stands 13ft tall at the shoulders and proves to be just a little irritable - Lazarus seems to manage just fine, though.

Another article done! This one goes into a type of LAI that's actually quite long overdue for a formal explanation - house sprites! They've actually been fairly present since the beginning of the project, but lorewise, they've been a bit cryptic. I've posted him before, but Graffi might be a particularly outlandish looking house sprite that a few will recognize.

Cooking Helper

Hua-Ni held in the giggle that was threatening to pop out.

Of course the littler furry one was her target! The bigger one was her friend...but the littler one was just -so much fun- to scare!

A quiet voice called from outside the oven.

“...Hua-Ni? I know you’re here. We have to go away for a while...so I left you some snacks while we’re gone.”

The fire spirit poked her head out of the oven door, blinking.

A soft giggle came out from the furry one. In her paw was...was that..?

It was! A magma crystal!

Hua-Ni cooed, sweeping over to take the crystal, turning it back and forth.

“You can come and go as you please, okay? We’ll be back as soon as we can. Just make sure you close the oven door before you go?”

The spirit nodded, bobbing gently back and forth.

“....good bye, little friend. Take care.”

...as soon as the furry one was gone, Hua-Ni felt the tiniest twinges of something in the back of her mind.

She thought she had heard the people calling it...guilt.

((Hua-Ni is a little fire spirit that lives in Gozo and Lai’s stove! ‘She’ heats their oven in exchange for a place to stay (and the occasional element snack). ‘She’ behaves fine for Gozo, but loves to play pranks on Lai.))
