Alice in Dreamland - Alice in Wonderland AU of our characters
Darian rubbed his head he had just hit while making his not-so-safe landing. Falling down the rabbit hole was definitely something the boy had never expected to happen. “Where on earth am I?" he asked in disbelief after looking a bit around. He had landed in some sort of forest with bizarre trees, plants and mushrooms everywhere.
"I wonder how do I get out.." he mumbled and stood up, wiping away dirt from his clothes. “Mjaaw… It depends on what is your ‘out’. It could be here or there or anywhere." Darian jumped when he heard an unfamiliar, a somewhat lazy voice talking to him. He turned around but couldn’t see anyone. He tried to scan the area with his eyes but despite this he still saw no-one. “Wh-who are you?! Where are you?"
After saying this he heard someone leaning against his shoulder. It was a somewhat dark-skinned, tall young man with cat ears and tail. He was leaning his head lazily on Darian’s shoulder, eyes closed and mouth in a wide Cheshire grin. “Ho-how did you get there?!" he shouted but couldn’t move because he was afraid he would hurt the man. “No, I have been here all along. There and here are certainly two different things," the cat-eared boy replied and then yawned. “I-I’m not sure do I understand.." Darian started but was cut off before he finished. “I didn’t expect Alice to be a boy," the catboy complained. “I was hoping for a cute girl!"
With this, he straightened up and started walking around Darian, observing him from head to toes. “You’re a bit girly tho. Are you a crossdresser?" the cat then asked, starting with a serious face but ending with a wide grin. “Of course I’m not!" Darian shouted back, feeling a bit offended. “Hehe, I was just joking, joking!"
"Hey, cat!" a low, strict voice suddenly called out. “You’re wasting our precious time!" It was a tall man with ice blue eyes and white hair with white rabbit ears on the top. He was dressed really elegantly and was holding a really expensive-looking pocket watch. “You goddamn idiot, you were suppose to show Alice the way to the tea party! But no, you thickheaded idiot can’t do even that much! Seriously, do I really need to do all this by myself?"
The cat boy immediately hid behind confused Darian’s back. He kept staring at the white… rabbit guy. Maybe he didn’t admit it out loud but Darian thought the bunny ears looked actually pretty nice. However, while they were cute and all, something about this man just felt really threatening. He had a dark aura around him, almost like in contrast with his white hair and ears.
"And you, Alice…" the rabbit-eared man said and walked closer to Darian who gulped. “I dare you to catch me." With that, he grabbed the boy’s scarf, took it off with only one fast movement and then he was already running away with it.
Darian just stood there, blinking his eyes. “Wha-what did just…. Who was that? And why do you both call me Alice!?" The young man behind his back stopped hiding and in a blink of an eye was already facing the blond haired boy. “He was Shuuji, the white rabbit.." the catboy shivered. “He is serving under the Red Queen, although he is actually controlling everyone here. You know, the puppet master. That’s what he is. A dangerous guy. I don’t like him.."
"Wha-what about the Alice-thing then? What’s the deal with that?" Darian repeated his question. “That, my dear Alice, is still a secret," the other boy answered with a purr and gently poked Darian on his nose. “Now, follow the rabbit!"
Suddenly he was gone. Darian was still dumbfounded and couldn’t move an inch. He wanted explanations and to know how to get back home!
"Oh yeah…" the catboy’s voice echoed. Slowly he started to become visible again, although Darian was not sure was this some sort of teleporting or did he just became invisible just before. “The name is Ringo, by the way." Before Darian managed to mumble anything else but “Uhh..", Ringo had disappeared again.
"Cats.." he laughed. “They’re all like that. They come an go without warning…" Darian continued laughing for a some time but then he got serious again. It was better to follow the scary rabbit guy and figure out what was going on. Maybe he would even see Ringo a bit later.
