admittedly, I had no idea who Houska was before researching for this piece. I don't speak finnish, so the few clips I could find of her I had to go by visuals only haha. I hope this sort of fits her characterization.

And I also hope it hits the angst 😉

years ago I recall reading that you could buy vánočka shaped loaf pans and foolishly I scoff and deemed these beneath me as I would never be seen serving vánočka I didn't hand braid

but alas hubris has caught up with me as my dad has been diagnosed with coeliac I now find myself trying to make gluten free vánočka. Have you tried braiding gluten free bread? It is an exercise in frustration.

Humbly report I am now looking for those shaped pans, please send help as I am just a second generation Canadian trying to retain my crumbs of delicious Czech heritage
