Hurricane Harvey is devastating the Houston area right now. My neighborhood seems to be safe, but we’re getting some pretty intense rain and very minor flooding. The people living here seem really into it, so I went out and sketched some of what I saw them doing. 

(Those kids in the golf cart were splashing around on that flooded sidewalk before they hopped back onto their ride!)

JUST IN: In forceful response to critics who say that Houston should have been evacuated for #Harvey, the mayor says the can "talk, talk, talk" about the "absurd" idea of evacuating 6,500,000 people in 2 days -- or they can come help him in managing the situation.

I love these flowers but my mind is elsewhere. As you no doubt know, my friends in southeast Texas, Rockport, Port Aransas, Houston, are in a bit of trouble. They are going need a little help and you know them, they are way too proud and independent to ask. ;-)

There are some ways you can help.

You can donate to the United Ways of Texaxs Hurricane Relief Fund, which gives you some choices if you don’t want to donate to Houston alone.

Harvey flood victims in for restoration, the dresser was completely under water for 2 weeks. The others were off the ground but still in the flood. Console was on its end and you can actually see the water line across the top. Good thing these are all steel otherwise they'd be in the dumpster. We'll give them a thorough cleaning and make sure they not only look new but also get rid of the horid SMELL! #harveyflood #houstonflood2017 #houstonflood #houstonstrong #modernindustrialfurniture
