earthspark swindle and hardtop are my lab rats and i'll torment them however i want.... if that means swindle dies for a minute and enters a pseudo well of allsparks only to be greeted with the long-gone faces of himself and hardtop, then so be it!

So many familiar faces, from elsewhere in another place being glimpsed. Leiland has gone to many places. Poppy would immediately recognize who it is despite them never meeting. He sees a lot more than anyone expects him to be able to see. And he has already put the pieces together, knowing things you aren't supposed to is a pretty dead ringer, after all. He does the same thing in his own way, like sees like.
