Ever since Odi had been brought back online, he could not help the smile on his face. He was all too happy to be able to finally express something. Even more so, that when he spoke now, it might be much less of a struggle to get what he tried to convey across. The feeling behind his words. It would feel all the more sincere, or at least he hoped it would.
Of course, it would take time to get used to. All the nuances of his lips’ new movements. He would figure it out, he was sure. He did not even mind the lack of artificial skin. Things like that did not bother him. Even more so, he would rather to be able to express himself. It was not as if he was bare circuitry and cogs. He still had plates and malleable parts, much like the newer androids did. From the bridge of his nose down to his neck. They left the rest of his old synthetic skin for protection of his old parts.
He was too busy thinking about his face to give much attention to his new temporary leg. After all, it was already covered by clothing.
Odi sat on the table, much like he had the first time they had met, while he waited for Connor to be let in the room. “How does it look?” He asked, not so much referencing the skin, but he wondered how his smile might be perceived by someone other than himself. He did trust the technicians, but he valued Connor’s opinion more. “Sincere?” He sounded, almost excited.
He tilted his head, more so at himself, his lips forming a small oh in shape. His good hand covered his mouth for a moment. It was strange to hear emotions come through in his voice with the software patch. He had not expected to sound like that, even though he logically knew there would be a slight change in his inflection. He still sounded like the same Odi, just a little less reserved than usual.
