I can't see him as young as a student, although he could fit in as Professor, janitor, Hogsmeade shoppe owner, etc.

Depends on the age range and personality. You can change the details around to make it possible for ANY face claim to fit. He could be a closet transvestite. HPWIKI has this to say on the subject:

Physical Description

Theodore is "weedy" and "stringy," indicating that he is tall, thin, and perhaps weakly built.[2][4] He was also considered to be "rabbity" in appearance by some.[3]

Personality and traits

Theodore is a clever, solitary boy who has never felt compelled to join "gangs," such as the one headed by Draco.[1] He is seen as a loner who does things by himself.
