VICTORIAN: THE RIPPER

Era: Victorian Era (1837-1901); Specifically, 1888

Suggested Setting(s): Victorian London; Ministry of Magic; Various dive bars and gentlemen’s clubs; The streets of London

Suggested Playable Characters: Any of the older Wizarding families that would have been around during the Victorian Era; OCs

Suggested RP Restrictions: 18+, Small Size to Medium Size, Endgame, Spellshock

Plot: In a city as large and violent as London, it takes a real madman to set himself out from the crowd. Then there’s Jack. Bloody Jack. Jack the Ripper. When the then-Muggle case came across the Head of the Auror Office’s desk, it’s clear that Jack the Ripper is no ordinary murderer. A wizard is attacking Muggle girls all across East London and it is the Aurors’ job to stay ahead of the Muggle police and public panic to stop him killing again before it’s too late.

Can you suggest any active trio era HP RPs?

I'm sorry to say that I'm going to be shutting this RPH down. There is not awful reason for this: no anon hate or lack of passion. Instead the reason is a positive one. 

I am in the process of shifting my attention to a new RPH project with the help of a friend, a project that hopes to offer everything I have started here but can't fulfill all my myself.

McGonagall Recommends: The Founding

IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD, 1018, THE ISLANDS OF BRITANNIA WERE A COUNTRY WITH AN UNGOVERNED MAGIC.

The Kings of generations past, and one paticular Queen in the present have never been particularly tolerant of wizarding folk, the strange people who have proved to be harder than smoke to catch. No one, save the wizards themselves know quite how powerful magic is, what it can do, or how it works. Misapprehension runs wild, and where it goes it brings with it fear.

From those in London plotting the overthrow of wizardkind, those demon devil worshipers, to the magical haven of Hogsmeade, where a counter debate is taking place, one aimed at unifying magical being and beast, there are many caught in this time of chaos and glory.  

At the center are four of these magic persons, who have united their talents for the sole purpose of educating young witches and wizards far from prying eyes. This is the story of Hogwarts. The castle is half built and young friends met on the fours’ respective travels have been invited as the school’s first students. Dreams have at last come to fruition.  

SO HOW COULD IT HAVE GONE SO WRONG? HOW COULD SUCH FRIENDSHIPS FAIL? 

Note: The Founding is the only long running (est. Dec 2011), multi-para founder's era roleplay that I know of. Their members are currently active and looking for new writers as they reopen to the public in less than a week. 

An enormous percent of their background information is canon to the books and highly originally adapted; they have characters inspired from portraits and chocolate frog cards along with HP legend. The context they are set in is fraught with Viking raids and historically accurate events, including Kings and Queens from that era. 

This is an era of prejudice and uncertainty. They have a wealth of magical creatures seeking to find their place amiss the chaos of newly founded Hogsmeade, and a rising figure there who might serve as first minister of magic in the near future. 

They have 70 characters open (INCLUDING ROWENA, HELGA, AND SALAZAR) and 40 taken. Go have a look.

Hi there, would you ever consider starting the Amortentia rp yourself? I love the plot and think it would be a great rp, but bio writing is my weakness and I feel I wouldn't do well enough if I were to admin it myself.

I would, but I really don't have the time to put back into the roleplays I've involved with as it is.

No precise age, really, but more or less the same, I would say? Bellatrix being the eldest, Andromeda the middle child, and Narcissa the youngest. And yes! Would Jessica work as a FC for Andromeda?

Ok, well there is an age difference of four years with Andromeda fitting somewhere in the middle. 

Eva is 32, and really can't pass for younger than 25. Jessica is 35, and I can't see her under 30, so I don't think she would make the best Andy here. I'd try to stick to someone either blonde or brunette or in between to try to bridge a resemblance to Bellatrix and Narcissa. 

Gemma Arterton is very popular but doesn't fit with with Bella you have or the Narcissa's I've suggested. The HP Wiki says her hair colour is light brown, eye colour is dark. You can have a look at these:
