Autumn (CPB)

(1975, Marauders Era, beginning of Autumn)

The slight autumn breeze lifted the fallen leaves up in its arms, only to drop them back down after a few paces. The leaves genty floated back on the ground, waiting for another breeze to lift them up, and drop them down again. Up, down, up, down. The steady pace of the rhythmic dance was soothing enough, paired with the gentle lull of the stream, some tributary or distributary of some mighty river, to make anyone feel drowsy, and I was no exception. It was the perfect weather for a melancholy catch up to one's inner thoughts, and it was easy to fancy that one were as light and free as the leaves mentioned before, and the luxury of ignoring the looming doom of the detached leaves, and they who dared to stray from the hectic noises of day to day life, was too affordable.

Fred Weasley X Reader!AU

One Last Laugh.

Fred, George, Lee, and you have been friends since first year and are pretty famous in school for being the Second Marauders. You would pull pranks to piss off Filch and sometimes just for the fun of it, in your 5th year Fred confesses his love for you and since then you had been an official power couple of Hogwarts (with George as the ultimate thirdwheel). You were pretty damned proud when they bombarded the halls with Filibuster Fireworks under Umbridge's nose in your 7th year. When you and Lee graduated in Hogwarts you and the twins joined the Order of the Phoenix that Dumbledore reinstated but when Dumbledore died and Voldemort and his death eaters took over the ministry, the order went into hiding.

"Hey Y/N are you okay?" Fred asks you with worry etched in his face. You and twins were up the tower in Hogwarts as you were assigned by Shacklebolt.

"Never been better with you by my side" you said and dashed a sweet smile in Fred's direction, he leaned his face towards you and kisses you in the forehead.

"We'll be in this together okay? I love you, Y/N" he says and hugged you so tight you were almost gasping for air but fortunately George scoffed causing Fred to take off his arms around you.

"You okay, Georgie?" Fred asks to his twin brother.

"Yeah" he answers looking at his twin.

"Me too" Fred answers. The castle went quiet and Fred hears footsteps he quietly walks towards the sound. You and George were left, you were about to head after Fred when George pulls you by the wrist.

"What's wrong George?" You asks worriedly as he looks sadly into your eyes.

"I wan't you to promise something, Y/N." He said staring at you very seriously.

"What is it?" You asked, trembling.

"That if something happens to me, if- if I die. Please- please take care of Fred, you're his happiness and I know he loves you so much. If I- I happen to not survive this fight I want you to substitute for me." He pleads to you with teary eyes.

"I will George. I promise." You reassured him and gently patted his shoulders and head after Fred downstairs. Everyone was fighting for their lives, a few death eaters attacked you but you managed to get them out of your way. Your eyes travelled to the crowd finding for any sign of Fred. And you heard it, his laugh your eyes darted at the entrance and saw Fred with Percy, you also saw Thickness on the ground that seemed to be turning into a sea urchin

It's going to explode

“You actually are joking, Perce. . . . I don’t think I’ve heard you joke since you were —”

"Y/N!" Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Percy and Ron had managed to shout as you ran forward to Fred and wrapped yourself around his neck and threw yourselves back. You were right, it exploded. You felt the sting in your hand as you managed to cover the back of Fred's head and you felt the excruciating pain that struck your body, you and Fred were half buried in the wreckage but you managed to throw yourself around him causing you to receive all the damage.

"Y/N? Y/N?!" Fred tried to call out to you but you were slowly losing your grip in life. You tried your best to stay awake but the pain was killing you, you just want to end it right then and there. Percy, Ginny, Hermione, Harry, and Ron managed to take off the fallen debris out of you and managed to pull you back, you felt Fred lift you up and were running to the Great Hall. You slowly reached for his face that made him stop, and looked at you with teary eyes.

"Y/N?" He called out but you were slowly drifting off.

"I love you, Fr--" the last word trailing off as your body slowly gave up.
