Decided to go on a walk this evening. I found this card in my pocket and I don't recall how it got there. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Feel free to let me know.

Ahoy mates!
Life o' a Captain can get mighty busy! I'd like to apologise that I don't post as often as I used to! In any case, I ain't goin no where but will be a bit busy. The swag will keep on showing up on these shores!
Now on to some shameless cross promotion. If ye find yourself also a fan of the more spooky
Creepy
Eldritch
lovecraftian private detectiveness
Then you may be interested in my other persona and blog, @hp-goodwin I am a bit more active over there as it's mostly reblogs and such. Figured I'd share and let all of you amazing people know what's up.
Smooth seas and good sailing mates!
Yet more interesting finds as I work on cases. This was in the possession of what I can only assume was hired muscle. He did not do his job well.
Sadly I do not read Russian. I do find it interesting that it's the same model of camera that I use.
Burned book, letter, ominous markings. Just another day in the life I guess.
The cases might not be neat but at least the whiskey can be. A long day in the office and truth be told I’m waiting for a break in a few of these.
In anycase, I’ll likely be checking my telegrams and letters so if you’d like to ask a detective anything fee free.
Going over telegrams and letters. Mostly about casework, but I'll answer all sorts of questions about the PI life.
Let me just pour another drink...
Slowly a cigarette burns down, barely held between my thumb and finger, thick almost velvet like smoke rises from it and through my view.
I'm staring at the wall of my office. The cracked plaster almost making fun of me for not taking this case far more seriously.
The frost on the window has built up more and more over the past few nights. It's getting colder it seems and I worry I have the pieces to help, but not the will.
Professor, what have you done?

To those who were wondering why I haven't been in my office lately, it's because this case keeps getting stranger.
After of a bit of digging I discovered Professor Greenbrook was not dead as I had feared, but was in fact currently spending his time as a patient at Arkham Asylum.
In any case, I got in to see him and he wouldn't stop saying "He should not open the vault." And something to the effect of "All truth remains perfect in the deepest cold."
He wouldn't answer any questions about his 'journal' or how that case ended up on my doorstep. Tell ya what, gonna need a drink when this is all done.
