What Branches Grow
[Draco/Harry | 55k | M]
Summary: When a run-of-the-mill investigation turns up evidence that the Death Eaters may be resurfacing, Harry seems to be the only one who believes Malfoy has anything to do with it. Yet according to official records, he’s been the poster child for the Ministry’s post-war Rehabilitation program, living in a small muggle town in Wales. It’s obvious that he’s guilty of something, but a Malfoy that rides a bike and reads poetry is not exactly what Harry had been picturing all these years.
Hello all ✨
I'm a bit late to the game for posting about my one major contribution to the fandom in 2023, but figured it's better late than never!
It was my pleasure to participate in the inaugural @hp-lawofattraction-fest, alongside my opposite's pair @elskanellis who wrote the companion "New" piece to my "Old" prompt. Huge thank you as well to my fandom bestie and beta, @thehoneybeet, without whom nothing would ever get written and these boys would never fall in love 💕
This fic was a delight to write, and came rambling onto the page after a bit of a hiatus from the fandom and from writing overall. The biggest departure from my past fics being a Draco who, while still completely himself, has found a measure of peace in his post-war life. I hope you enjoy this story and its exploration into the origins of magic in an old and sacred (if not slightly humorous) town in Wales.
