When you ask a question like "favorite album" I think it's implied that you're judging based on pure musical merit. But that's probably not realistic - the context where you first encountered an album will always color your reaction and you're better off not trying to fight it. So I think my favorite They Might Be Giants album is Mink Car, the one that was released on 9/11.
