trying to compile all of my recs, so here are my drarry (& drarry + ginny) recs from the @hprecfest in 2023!
Day 1- Fic under 5k words

Some people are born matchmakers, others have matchmaking thrust upon them, and this whole thing is Neville's fault, anyway.
Day 4- Fic with Art

"I'm stuck in a time loop, reliving November 2nd. This is the 111th time I've lived through today." Draco stilled. His moody eyes, the tension in his hands where he gripped onto his umbrella, the careful mask of blankness flickering over his face — everything about him was so difficult and so very dear to Harry. "Ah," said Draco, "and?"
Day 5- Non-AO3 fic

Upon returning for their ‘eighth’ year, Draco notices Harry doesn’t look well. He also notices that Harry’s best friends are too busy exploring their new relationship to see something is wrong, so he decides to take it upon himself to fix things.

Day 8- Canon Divergence

Before his third year of Hogwarts has even begun, Harry faces three whole weeks of unsupervised time in Diagon Alley. In that time he takes a trip to Gringotts - and that changes everything. Draco thought he could avoid Potter for the duration of his brief return to England. He’d stick to his schedule and be back home in Paris, where he belonged, in a few short months. No trouble at all. He had plenty to occupy him, what with the opening of the London branch of his successful apothecary, his innovative research, drinks with Pansy, a backlog of unread potions periodicals. Except Head Auror Potter is everywhere — in Draco's chair, at his door, in his dreams. All six feet of motorbike-riding, combat-boot-wearing, sex-hair-sporting Saviour of the World packed into one unfairly fetching uniform. Potter won’t leave Draco the bloody hell alone, won’t let him breathe, let him forget, let him sleep. Because no matter how fast Draco Malfoy runs, Harry Potter is always hot on his heels.
Day 11- Dark fic
Transformation- Ischa (E, 7.9k)
Draco Malfoy is assumed lost in the Forbidden Forest, Harry is a sucker for mothers, so he promises Narcissa Malfoy to look for her son. Things happen. “Malfoy?” “Maybe,” the voice said and the beast licked Harry's chest – a hot stripe of arousal – and then he was gone.
Day 12- WIP you're following (has since been complete!)
The Star Splitter- oflights (E, 219k)
On a routine time travel assignment to the past, Draco stumbles upon 7-year-old Harry Potter and witnesses his neglect and mistreatment by the Dursleys. In the moment, there is only one solution, even if it goes against all his training as a Time Agent: he has to bring Harry back to the future with him. In which Draco burns his life down for the sake of his former school rival.
Day 13- Over 100k words
Nyctophilia- red_leonne (E, 107k)
Everyone's back for 8th year, and Harry and his friends seem determined to spend their last year in school running around at night, hyped up on coffee and alcohol and Honeydukes candy, doing all the childish things they didn't have the chance to do before. Draco watches as he's always watched: from afar, quiet and bitter and hopelessly in love. That is, until Pansy decides she's had quite enough of it.
Day 14- A Favorite Series

Numb and exhausted after the war, Harry returns to the only real home he’s ever known. Hogwarts needs help, too.
Day 16- A fic that made you laugh
Soup-pocalypse and The Great Curry Cataclysm- SquadOfCats (E, 104k)
Eleven years after the war, Draco Malfoy leads a quiet, boring, and perfectly respectable life, thanks very much. Or, at least he does, until a sudden and very unexpected veela awakening causes him to throw soup all over Harry Potter in the middle of the Ministry cafeteria.
Day 17- A fic that made you cry
Nor All That Glisters- sweet_sorrow (E, 110k)
Lonely and frustrated on house arrest, with no prospects for the future, Draco begins brewing Felix Felicis in an attempt to improve his lot. Just in the short term, of course. He isn’t a total idiot. But before long he finds himself with a thriving business, a nice flat, some actual (albeit irritatingly Gryffindor) friends, and a very satisfying sex life. What’s more, no-one is hexing him in the street. And Harry Potter is single, and gorgeous, and giving Draco decidedly interested looks. Stop taking the Felix? You must be joking…
Day 18- Fairy tale inspired fic
The Ugly Duckling- ICMezzo (E, 16.4k)
Draco is all atwitter when he wakes up on his birthday with a few unexpected feathers. Suspecting foul play, he enlists Harry to help him get rid of his unfortunate birden—er, burden.
Day 19- Hottest Smut
Unknown Pleasures- birdsofshore (E, 10.5k)
The Room of Requirement was definitely broken. Why else would it be presenting Harry with a whip, some handcuffs, a blindfold, and a… what exactly was that thing, anyway?
Day 20- Rated G
Don't mind if I keep your tie (and your heart, babe)- Ingi (G, 21.3k)
The Eighth year common room has a parrot in it, courtesy of McGonagall and her mad search for interhouse bonding. Most of the time, it's just there, until one day it repeats "Potter has a damn fine arse." And the Slytherins know exactly who the parrot's mimicking… Draco is not amused.
Day 21- Thought Provoking
Shut Up, This Is Love- MyNameIsThunder (M, 33.2k)
A soulmark is never wrong, Draco tells him — as if Harry cares what this damn chain on his arm says. But Harry is nothing if not stubborn, and he’d rather die than let a stupid mark determine whom he can and cannot have.
Day 22- Unfinished or Abandoned fic

Harry was bored one summer and decided to put his borrowed Polyjuice to good use.
Day 23- Soulmate fic

Draco is forced to tutor Harry in potions. A slight problem occurs.
Day 24- Holiday fic

Harry and Draco are forced to kiss over and over again, because that’s just what happens to two arch-enemies around Christmas.
Day 25- Rated T
Casablanca- Oakstone730 (T, 8.1k)
When Draco decides to start exploring gay dance clubs in London, no one is more surprised than Harry when the one he picks is Harry’s favorite club, the Casablanca.
Day 26- Ending you can't stop thinking about
Way Down We Go- xiaq (T, 109k)
The war was over. Or at least that’s what the papers said. They’d been saying it, for months, as if people needed reminding. Maybe they did. In which Harry and Draco both run away from their pasts and conveniently choose to hide in the same tiny American town. It's super.
Day 27- Muggle AU
Interpreting Draconis- Dacro (M, 11.0k)
Draco, the Deaf son of a wealthy businessman, has always had the best of everything, including a habit for rapid signing and a reputation for having a short fuse. When his father disappears, the interpreters who have been on the receiving end of Draco's attitude and temper refuse to work for him. Enter Harry, our 'new on the block' interpreter with a heart of gold, exemplary skills, and a few secrets in his pocket.
Day 28- Underrated fic(s)
Open and Closed- Lhunfeniel (E, 34.7k)
After 5 years of marriage, Ginny is surprised when Harry suggests they open their relationship to other sexual partners. Harry gets more than he bargained for.
Yours Truly- skeptique (M, 14.8k)
Every single one of Harry’s exes has gone on to marry the next person they date, and with the upcoming nuptials of numbers six and seven to each other, Harry’s feeling exhausted by it all. It doesn’t really matter if he lets people assume Draco Malfoy is his boyfriend for a moment of peace. In any case, Draco’s been away for five years and there’s no way he would find out, right?
Speak (and may the world come undone)- shealwaysreads (E, 26.0k)
The war is on in earnest, and the hunt for the Horcruxes has begun. Harry receives help from the least expected person, and must decide whether he can trust the enemy he knows best. Day 29- Post Canon
The Light That is Blinding Me- leontina (E, 22.8k)
After Flourish and Blotts stop stocking the books of Harry’s favourite author, he is directed to a queer bookshop and discovers it’s owned by none other than Draco Malfoy, who has more in common with Harry than either of them realise.
Day 30- Pre Canon
Always Already- aibidil (E, 170k)
Harry and Draco are perfectly fine, separately minding their business in 2004, when the Unspeakables conscript them into service… in the First War against Voldemort. Come for mutual pining and forced proximity in a 1980 hotel room, stay for young Sirius and philosophising about immortality and wormholes. And an eighties cowboy soap opera.
Day 31- Favorite Amongst Favorites
Twist of Fate- Oakstone730 (T, 302k)
Draco asks Harry to help him beat the Imperius curse during 4th year. The lessons turn into more than either expected. A story of redemption and forgiveness. Pairings: HP/DM (Slash) Timeframe: 1994-2002 Goblet to 4 yrs post-DH EWE Rating T for language, high angst, content.
