Lavender's memories after the battle are muddled. Sometimes they come back in flashes, like shards of glass in her mind.
One thing she does remember is a hand, adorned with henna and perfect red nails holding hers.
This memory stands out when she thinks of her time in St Mungo's as they waited for her to heal, to see if she would transform.
One time she wakes up and she has intricate swirls painted on her hand. She watches Parvati direct the brush with her wand, singing softly. Their eyes meet. Parvati goes quiet as she takes in Lavender's expression.
