HPStuck Headcanons - explanations!

HUFFLEPUFF

John: loyal as fuck, he will defend you till he's blue in the face. he may be a brave character but he isn't gonna charge straight into battle. he needs convincing (so not Gryffindor). He's also not that determined / cunning / ambitious (so not Slytherin) and he can't be a Ravenclaw either cos unless it's about films, he isn't THAT into learning loads of stuff.

Tavros: he does not suit any other houses. He's not cunning enough to be in Slytherin, he isn't very courageous at all, and isn't someone who seeks out knowledge like a Ravenclaw would either. He's very timid, and that's something  Hufflepuff is stereotypically looked down as

Nepeta: she loves animals, like hufflepuffs are said to! she's also very caring of her friends and very loyal. she will defend you to the grave! she's also very middle-ground when it comes to being smart/strong so it fits her i think

Gamzee: he was a hard one to place. i'm thinking about him when he's still on faygo for this! he's not the most loyal of people, it's true, but he's very docile (IN THIS STAGE!!!). He's not a smart person (so no Slytherin) and he isn't ambitious (so not Slytherin or Gryffindor). Sooooo to Hufflepuff you go!

Aradia: my main reason for putting Aradia in Hufflepuff is because ofhow she acted after Sollux killed her. she pretty much forgives him. she doesn't hold too much of a grudge at all. she's understanding and is still loyal ti him after this!

GRYFFINDOR

Dave: he was easy. he's very brave - he's the knight after all. he is ready to sacrifice himself for others (dead daves!) and doesn;t ask for anything in return. he's also quite loud and will state his opinion whether you like it or not!

Jade: she was hard to place. I almost put her in Hufflepuff, but then I remembered that it was her idea to go after Bec Noir as soon as he is created. She is braver than people tend to remember. Ready to fight for what's right! she is not passive.

Dirk: Easy to place for me. he is very selfless and brave. He will save pretty much anyone, even if he's not keen on them. He's very strong too, but he isn't cunning or ambitious.

Jake: Although he isn't mentally or physically strong, he puts being brave and strong on a platform. it;s what he wants to become, more than anything. so he is in Gryffindor.

Karkat: like Jake, he prioritises strength in combat and bravery. He always wants to lead people into battle, and help those who are worse than him (for the sake of looking awesome, mostly).

Terezi: she was hard to place! she is very brave, she finally stands up to Gamzee in the later comics of Homestuck. i thought of putting her in Slytherin, but then i know she would hate to be in the same house as Vriska and Equius. She does not like the elites.

SLYTHERIN

Rose: I very almost put her in Ravenclaw but i changed my mind! this is because she is ambitious. she wants to fight Bec Noir in homestuck and hurt the game (like witht the Tumor) as much as possible, even if it means she does not win. She is cunning too, and very sly and witty.

Vriska: kind of an obvious choice. Very sly, ambitious, determined. Also, she would totally shit on muggle borns.

Equius: would shit loads on muggle borns and call them mudbloods! he's also very ambitious when it comes tothe things that matter to him (making Aradia love him, being good at archery, making robots, etc...). Slytherins and Hufflerpuffs also make good friends - and since Nepeta is in Hufflepuff...!!!

Eridan: like Vriska and Equius, he is very elitist and thinks he knows what is best. he is very ambitious and believes he should have all the magic power there is! he wants to be strong, and he is determined to put his way of seeing the world in motion.

Feferi: she was hard to place too! i could have put her in Hufflepuff cos she likes animals and stuff, but i thought nah! she is, after all, determined! She wants to see a new society, one she believes to be right! She is ambitious for her new society to work. SLytherin is the place for her!!

RAVENCLAW

Jane: Jane is someone who doesn't like dumb people. she associates with smart people like Dirk and Roxy, and she gets really mad when people forget things (like her birthday for example). She is someone who values knowledge!

Roxy: even though she is always drunk, she is actually a very intelligent girl and character. She has genius moments where she knows exactly what to do, when and where

Sollux: Pretty elitist when it comes to knowledge, like to have all the brains. All of them. He is very smart and he prioritises this and puts it on a pedestal.

Kanaya: She likes people like Rose who are smart and she was a huge fan of Rose's guide that she finds online. She thinks that being smart and witty are great features and tries to be smart and witty herself!
