As far as I could tell, one fan said that F overshared and let slip that both seasons would be filmed back-to-back, and everyone else just took it as gospel and started sharing it. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true; it makes the most sense from a production standpoint if TLG is being split into two seasons.
However, a four-month filming schedule doesn't necessarily mean much, since Connor and Hudson have plenty of other commitments (fashion shows, the Emmys, etc.) during that time, and it’s pretty clear they’ll step away from filming whenever necessary. In fact, Connor is currently shooting two movies at once, and one of them is expected to still be in production come september. Of course, HR is the priority, but it’s entirely possible for him to be working on other projects while filming HR.
As for the spinoff, if they play it smart, they’ll mix in some Skip and Eric/Kyle storylines—along with a bit of an introduction to Ryan and Fabian—so it doesn't take too much screen time away from Hollanov and Troy/Harris, especially since the books being adapted are *Role Model* and *TLG* (and the stories happen simultaneously). Personally, I’m going to do what I did with season 1: I watched episode 3 exactly once and never again. 🤷🏻♀️
I still think they can film all three of them. Troy & Harris will have their own scenes as well as scenes with Ilya. Especially Troy. We will see Centaurs scenes that do not include Shane (Hudson). Shane scenes with Metros will be seperately shot. Not including Ilya (Connor). If they can do simultaneous shots for both TLG and the spin off, I think they can manage to finish those three off in 4 full months. They have indoor scenes mostly. They have Alexa cam. Their production is pretty efficient.
As for the spin off, I am not sure if I would watch it tbh. Maybe I would watch a reaction to it on Youtube, from a fav reactioner, and that would be it. I really do not like Skip story. There are elements that are bothering me. I explained it a lot. And Eric & Kyle do not interest me at all. I would prefer watching Rose meeting her love instead. My homegirl deserves a non-gay boyfriend who loves her 😃 but I know this is a queer show, so I appreciate that. I am just trying to say Skip and Kyric/Eryle are boooooriiiiiiiing 🫣
