“I’ve got some bandages, wait a sec.”
“ah, thank you so much!” hyerin says loudly to the woman’s retreating figure, going off to get the bandages from her bag, before turning her attention back to the child sat down on the ground in front of her, small hands clutching his knee. parks mean little kids running around, their parents far from them, and little kids running around means that someone is bound to get hurt, too much excitement and energy pulsing in their body, and that was exactly what happened to this little guy. running around with so much energy, he bumped into someone and fell to the ground, his knee scraping the rocky, sandy surface. no parent that could have been his was in sight, and hyerin and the other woman were the only adults in the area. “it’s okay dear, she’s getting bandages for you, then we’re going to look for your mom afterwards, okay?” she says in a soft voice, patting his head to try and calm his tears.
