He fiddled the damned piece of jewelry in his hand and watched it glimmer when sunlight hit it from the right angles. With a heavy sigh he lifted his hand and knocked on the door. He cared about few things, but even he had to admit he did not enjoy having more enemies in the building than friends.

But it wasn’t really his place, and he definitely could not straight up tell her that he pitied her. “You’ve talked to him?”
