OK BUT FOR REAL man, i could go on about my pet peeves, but lemme just.bullet point the ones that REALLY have been bugging me lately.i could go on forever i must contain myself.
there’s a point where you really should just make an oc. like, if really the only point of taking up that canon muse is for the face and general atmosphere... bro, why not make an oc? i realize in the realm of pokemon that these characters are already such cardboard cutouts, but there’s a point where you really aren’t even writing for the same character. make an oc.
why is this community allergic to older characters? because i’m personally allergic to see characters visibly well past their forties/fifties being cut down to being magically in their late twenties/thirties. i feel like there can be a sweet spot if you want a much older chara to not be... THAT much older (ex. ghetsis, i feel his range is between 45-50, so if you wanted to go towards the lower end, it would still feel reasonable), but my dude if you cannot handle having your Very Obviously Older Charas be the age they are intended to be, maybe that isn’t for you.
the reading comprehension on this website can be dismal at times. bold it, highlight it, underline it---people will still find a way to skip it over and make it clear they don’t bother to read the things you lay out before them. sometimes this is just a nuisance. other times it is far more.
