highschool sweathearts part II (bohemian rhapsdy cast AU)
After Y/N agreed on a date with Joe, he was happiest human being ever. None of his friends has seen him like this. The excitement of going on a first date with his crush was huge. Joe actually had a crush on Y/N since middle school. He was always scared to ask her out. But now when he's 100 per cent sure she's going with him, he wasn't afraid of anything. Joe knew that she won't let him down because some hot football player asked her suddenly out. He was sure that he has at least one date with her.
So right after her asked her, and she agreed, he headed to Ben. Ben always had a lot of girls around him. Other three knew that it is probably because he's hot, he has abs and he plays football. One girl was so obsessed with him, that she made a cardboard cutout of him. Once, after he said no to her ( what Lucy found incredibly rude) they found the piece of cardboard next to the dumpster. Now that legendary Cardy B, as boys call him, is in Joe's room staring at him day and night. Once when they were just joking around they accidentaly started a rumour that Joe is dating a cardboard cutout of Ben. But luckily everybody forgot about it.
,,What's up Joe?'' Ben was sitting in a park in front of school.
,,Ben you've been on many dates, right?" Joe asked nervously.
,,Yeah, why?"
,,Well, I finally asked Y/N out and, well, I actually don't know anything about dating." Joe chuckled a bit.
,,So?" Ben frowned on.
,,I wanna know how to make a great date!" Joe's arms shooted to the air.
,,Um, well, I guess you should know what she likes?"
,,Okay, um, something else?"
,,Maybe you should take notes."
,,Why?" Joe didn't understand.
,,You know, you came for help, I'll help you. Like you said I was on many dates so I might know something." Ben laughed a bit.
,,Sure..." Joe started taking out his notebook.
,,Are you crazy? That was a joke. You don't have to take notes. Just listen!"

After Ben told Joe everything he needed to know, Joe went looking for Y/N. He finally picked the place. Once while he was listening to her during math she mentioned her favorite restaurant. Little italian place almost at the end of the town. He already made a reservation there. He was ready to not mess it up. He can't. This is his only chance with Y/N. If he'll mess up, he'll never get a second chance because he knows Y/N is better than him. At least that's what he thinks. Joe's actually never seen her without her recognizible wide smile. She always smiled at him during classes when she caught him looking. Joe found himself staring at her during classes when she was answering the teacher, or chatting with her friends or just sitting and paying attention. This is actually how boys found out he has crush on her. Since then they never stopped teasing him.
,,Hey Y/N!" Joe found her in library.
,,Joe, hi." Y/N started to be bit nervous when she saw Joe.
,,What's up?" She rested her head on her palm.
,,I just wanted to tell you that I'm going to pick you up at 6 on friday. If it's okay with you, of course."
,,Oh yeah, of course it is! So do you know where I live?"
,,Umm I guess."
,,Well I better give you my adress. I don't want you to get lost and miss the date." She laughed.
In that moment Joe was so into her. That little laugh that she always makes was his weakness. Joe was looking at her while she was writing down her adress. Her perfect writing. And how she's concentrated. Joe wanted to melt at that very moment. He also wanted to tell her how much he adores her, maybe loves her. At this point he knew that there's something from her side too. It wasn't one-sided anymore. Maybe she doesn't feel the same way as Joe, but he was just okay with the fact that she agreed on a date.
,,Here it is. I wrote down there my number so you can maybe, just maybe, text me. Also I'm gonna be home alone on friday so don't be afraid to ring." She smiled and gave Joe a piece of paper.
,,Thank you. So, I guess see you on friday." Joe nervously laughed.
,,Joe, it's only tuesday. I bet we'll see each other till then." Both of them chuckled.
,,Yeah I guess you're right." At this point Joe was staring to the ground.
,,Okay, I gotta go. I can't wait till friday!'' said Y/N as she walked away.

friday 4pm
,,Joe, you're sure Ben Cardy's not jealous?" said Gwil sharply.
Rami, sitting next to him, laughed. That was followed by Joe's eye roll. Rami and Gwilym were at Joe's house helping him to get ready on his big night.
,,So Joe tell me, are you nervous?" Rami said after watching him nervously picking his outfit.
,,A little, yeah."
,,A little? Dude I've never seen you this nervous! You should take another shower and change your shirt 'cause I can see some sweat circles around your armpits." Gwil was joking.
After he said that Joe quickly looked at his shirt. There was nothing. If Joe's look could kill, Gwil would be on floor dead. Rami laughed again.
,,Maybe you should change your shirt. This one's little boring." Rami pointed out.
,,Well, Rami I am not you. I like this boring shirt. It's really casual and good for first date."
,,Tell me, Joe, on how many dates have you ever been?" Gwil asked.
,,Um... I think...maybe two?" Joe was confused.
,,Two? I only remember one. In 7th grade with that girl, what was her name, Gisselle? Your infamous McDonald's date?" Rami layed on Joe's bed.
,,Okay! I was only one date. I'm a loser. Cool. Please make fun of me!" Joe turned to them.
,,Joe, no one's making fun of you. It's completely okay that you've been only on one date. But please tell me you're not taking Y/N to McDonald's!" Gwil stood up.
,,Don't worry. I'm taking her to that little italian place on the other side of the town. It's her favorite restaurant." Joe said with his finger up.
,,Oh wow, you should stop stalking her. What if you know more about her than she knows about herself?" Rami sat back.
,,Yeah of course." Joe rolled his eyes again.
Joe layed on his bed. He was so nervous that he was starting to feel sick. His mind was full of different thoughts, over-thinking everything. He was quiet for the rest of the evening. He just listened and watched boys play some Mario Cart on his nintendo. He kept looking at clocks, checking his outfit. He wanted it to be perfect. He wanted to make a perfect impression on Y/N...
