“what time do you want us to arrive?”
it was rare that out of her brothers, ella was the most engrossed in a conversation. she had never been the type to talk above others nor lead a conversation, but theatre was incredibly important to her, as was charity work. having the two come together only meant more.
“at your earliest convenience”
she nods, noting down into her diary that they should make every effort to arrive as soon as possible. she always did enjoy coming home to do these events. not only did it give her an excuse to spend days with her mother, but she always did enjoy seeing her brothers together again.
“jas, get off me!”
speak of the devil, she thinks with a grimace. both her brothers had just flown in that morning to attend the meeting. jason was, of course, already waiting for her and together they waited for the elders to arrive. olivier from a conference in russia, charles from a game in japan. both twins were now sprawled on the couches beside her, trying to catch up with their jet lag.
“el, stop yelling at me”
he had unceremoniously flopped his feet into her lap, stretching the entire length of his body over the couch, olivier nestled right beside him. it was obvious that neither, really, needed to be a hundred percent present during the process, as long as they were present at the event. she made a mental note to contact dalena and emmalyn about the details instead.
“excuse my brothers. they’re idiots.”
she gives charles a light shove, so that only one foot falls off her knee, leaving the other still in her lap. it was tiring having to constantly fly, more so for her brothers who struggled to be away from their families for any length of time. she felt sorry for them and, most of all, she understood the struggle. she’s surprised when it’s olivier who responds to her insult.
“love you too, ella!”
