Some Flipqy/Derk doodles from last night

Just Derk being Derk and some expression doodles. Bc Flippy needs to be mentally weak in order to be possessed Derk always tries to trigger his PTSD somehow.

Info dump about Derk: (enjoy) He first possessed Flippy on his first mission with Sneaky and Ka-Boom. (I took inspiration from the Ka-boom episode but the events play out a bit different) Derk defeats Tiger General and leaves Flippy who later gets promoted in rank for the very successful mission. But bc Tiger General comes back Flippy has to fight him again. And lots of other war stuff. Derk takes control of Flippy during his hard moments and kills off lots of soldiers. All Flippy remembers is that he blacks out and somehow wakes up with lots of dead bodies around. (Poor Flippy) Derk is very aggressive and sadistic, he loves to mess with people’s minds so if he founds out you dislike something he’ll make sure you go thru it everyday! You hate bugs? He’ll be putting them in all your stuff. He also likes to tease you and hurt your feelings, drain you mentally, it’s pretty cruel, yeah. And he’s just an asshole in general. Buuuuuut (trying not to spoil to much but) he kinda starts warming up to Flip after a while.

So I decided to develop Derk a bit more. (This isn’t 100% officially more like just some main ideas)

I took some inspiration from Deadites from Evil Dead and just basic demons (shoutout to @rabid-cat-infodump for the suggestion !)

Demon Fliqpy Headcanon

ACHEM so basically I love Flippy in the canon series and how he flips out but I understand it’s a bad portrayal of PTSD and I was thinking of how to get rid of the bad portrayal of PTSD while still keeping the “crazy killer Fliqpy”

Soooooo I came up with a great idea: Demon Fliqpy.

Basically Fliqpy is actually a demon that Possesses Flippy when he gets his flash backs. Basically when Flippy is mentally weak Fliqpy takes over him. That explains the violence and why Flippy doesn’t really remember what happened. When Flippy calms down and becomes mentally stable that’s when Fliqpy struggles to posses him so he leaves. Sometimes Fliqpy appears in the mirror and that’s how he and Flippy can communicate so they do have a relationship. Sometimes Fliqpy can also get into Flip’s head when Flip is stressed or upset and Fliqpy also tries to trigger Flippy so that he can cause more violence.

I also recently came up with an actually name for Fliqpy, it’s Derk aka Demon Jerk, it’s a name that Flippy gave him bc Derk didn’t actually have a name before til now.
