HTP CHAPTER 6 IN A WEEK! AAAAGGGGHHHHH
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE
ohhhhKAY. So chapter 6 is coming out much sooner than anticipated, neat.
Since this was posted 4 days ago, i guess that Ch.6 will come out in 3-4 days time, so somewhere around friday-saturday in australia, where I am. But the announcement itself isn't what I'm interested in, I'm interested in how it's WORDED. look how Bruva describes it, "Sludgey" and "gruesome". Now GRUESOME i can understand from a pack of Garou, but SLUDGEY? And the description of the plushey (which is probably the corpse of Fatigue) too, 'a new freak available to EAT'. Nasty sludge and consumption, what does that remind you of? That's right, O'Tolleys. And what is O'Tolleys connected to? The Wyrm. You know what else is connected to The Wyrm and will be present on this hunt? Pentex, but specific to this hunt i am talking about Blair, And Palmer might be there too, so let's include him as well. I'm calling it now, the Hunters will arrive to fight the pack only for a Wyrm spirit (or something of similar strength and nastiness) to show up and wreck shop, either summoned by Blair and Palmer directly or being drawn to all the activity, either way, it's gonna be fucked for the hunters, especially considering how injured Grimmal is (RIP girl). And again, because i am nothing if not predictable, let's discuss what this could mean for our boy Marckus, because i have theories. As you all no doubt know by now, i am one of the many HTP fans who Headcannon Marckus to be an unawakend Mage*. What a lot of you probably don't know is that i have speculated that Marckus has tried to awaken once before. When he tried to save his brother Anton from the Fey. It is my belief that when Marckus tried to rescue his brother, he began the process of Awakening, and while doing so managed to contact either a powerful Wyrm spirit, or even just The Wyrm itself, but was interrupted by D, and i have evidence to back it up.
Look at this screenshot from the Ghoul Audiolog, look at the photo of D and Marckus, look at whats chasing them, large maws full of teeth that are actively distorting space around them, distortions that look somewhat similar to long, WYRM-LIKE bodies, and the way d describes it, a THING, an OUTER FORCE. something BEYOND THEIR UNDERSTANDING, the giant monster sitting at the bottom of the trench. If that isn't The Wyrm, i don't know what is. And it would also explain Marckus' apparent amnesia surrounding it, if he really was about to awaken, them having that connection severed before it could properly form would be very taxing on such a young mind, taxing enough to rob his memories of the subject. This also means that Marckus is either a Widdersliante (Reincarnated Nephandi [Nephandi are evil mages who serve the Wyrm]) or an ABSURDLY POWERFUL Entropy* Mage. And I'm bringing this all up because, as D said in this audiolog, Marckus may have forgotten The Wyrm, but The Wyrm probably hasn't forgotten him. When this Wyrm spirit shows up, i think It's either going to cause Marckus to remember that night when he first made contact and cause him to fully Awaken, or The Wyrm itself will connect with him directly and force it to happen, or something to that effect. And God only knows what Marchus will do past that point. It is here that i must also make the obligatory 'If The Emperor Has a Text-To-Speech-Device' Parallel, because if Marckus is still borrowing plot beats from Magus, the The Wyrm is basically his version of Tzeench. *It occured to me that some people might not know what a Mage actually is, so for a very rough breakdown: Mages are humans who've had a realisation/epiphany so powerful that it blasts their third eye wide open and gives them magic powers they can use to manipulate the Tellurian, which is what the mages refer to all of reality, including places like the Umbra, this event is called an awakening. There are 9 spheres of magic which can each again be sorted into three categories, collectively referred to as 'the Trinity' which is in some way connected to the triat, the three big spirits that govern reality, though how that is isn't clear (which meant it varies based on the preference of the DM). Dynamism for Gaia, Stasis for the Weaver, and Entropy for the Wyrm. And mages Avatars (spirit guides who help them do magic) can favour one or more of these aspects. If Marckus is an Entropy Mage like i think that means his magic will probably fall under either Spirit, Prime, or Entropy (sometimes referred to as Fortune) [yes i know having an Entropy sphere also be named Entropy is confusing, blame the people who made Mage, not me] That is, if he stays on the path of a normal mage and doesn't get swept up into the Technocracy, or taken by the Nephandi. Anyways like i said my breakdown was rough so here is the link to the Mage wiki so you guys can learn about it yourselves.
I WAS FUCKING RIGHT
HTP 6 IN A WEEK! NEVER DOUBT ME AGAIN!
