while astrid's "you set him free what did you expect" is probably the most egregious of the shitty characterizations everyone got in the hidden world, i think hiccup saying relationships are nothing but pain and misery gets underlooked

Every possible criticism of HTTYD3 has been made already, very angrily and very eloquently, by me and many others, but I am thinking about one very specific one today

It’s just such a despondent future to imagine Hiccup and Astrid having kids and Toothless is not there to like. Make sure they don’t toddle into the fire and lay there grumpily letting them climb all over him. What’s even the point without this
