went out and got soup with my mom 👌
hu tieu, with rice noodles (much lighter and less chewy than ramen noodles), pork slices with a nice balance of lean meat and fat, pork off the bone that is easy to tear off and chew, shrimp, quail eggs, vietnamese cruller (the marshmallow to the soup's hot cocoa), and vietnamese pork rinds. The main focus of this soup is its somewhat sweet and mild broth that is very clear and smooth, not thick or really oily at all. I imagine it is a great starter soup to vietnamese cuisine, as it has less of a meaty and strong taste compared to pho. Also is good in seafood and vegetarian versions 👍 Overall, 20/10 one of my favorite soups thus far. You really can get lost in the sauce, no thoughts head empty with this soup, but its so good so why would you? it deserves your full attention
im crying my roommate pronounced hu tieu as "who chew"
