Hi guys! I am beyond grateful for the response that my updates post has gotten. And for those of you asking, i’m okay! Luckily i live in a non-affected area. Anyways, i wanted to share this bit of information with you. It’s a graphic made by a peruvian news radio station, called “the numbers the rains are leaving” (crappy translation, i know). If you don’t understand spanish, here is the translation:
There has been, so far, 99,475 victims and 626,298 people affected. 75 have died, there are 263 injured and 20 have gone missing.
Households: 10,538 have collapsed; 12,123 are uninhabitable and 134,125 have been affected.
Roads: 1,903 kilometers are completely destroyed, while 3,814 kilometers have been affected.
Bridges: 159 are destroyed (yep, they’ve fallen down) and 271 have been affected.
As you can see, those are not small numbers. This is one of the worst natural disasters we have gone through, and this is not over yet.
