It's not on AO3 but I don't remember what platform except that it had pretty scrolling designs down the left side of the screen. It's by Katie...but I think they use a different name now. It's Victorian Holmes and the different parts are named for orchestra music. Watson has ptsd and Holmes is so caring. Do you know what I'm on about?

I finished reading this this week and it’s such an emotional but wonderful story. I like this version of Sherlock. Very in character of the show but somehow also softer and more mature. Same with John, it’s still John from the show but more likeable. He’s so brave by the end of the story, just like Sherlock. Somehow finding their way back to each other and it’s beautiful to watch.

Tell me about a birthday cake you've had that you still remember.

My brother’s birthday cake last year! It was a 3 leches cake and it was aaaaaamazing. It was actually a 4 leches cause it also had dulce de leche - a must in every Argentinian kitchen. I can still remember how soft it was and sweet but amazingly enough not terribly so that you couldn’t eat another slice. It had chocolate shavings and slices of strawberries. YUM.

I'm thinking about this now. I'd accept a coffee irl, but online feels different. To that, I've always said no thanks, if people ask. But then, I have a secure job, and I don't need the help. If others don't, it's fine if they accept a tip from someone who liked their work, no? The gift economy can flex to include money, I think, since we live in a world that uses it. Just as a gift, though, like a piece of fanart, or a really glowing rec. Not as payment. What do you think? Still no?

Just personally for me, still a no, hence why I’m not making a kofi for the person who wanted to give me money for my fic, BUT, it’s acceptable if other people want to do it.  What gets me is the paterons etc who give like a tease of their work, and only let those who pay them see/read the whole thing. THAT’S what makes me feel really just NO. Like how long until there are no free fics and arts, you know?

I haven't watched Dracula yet. Not sure if I want to. One concern that maybe you can help me with? The level of graphic violence and gore. To give you an idea, Kingsmen is MUCH too violent, and The Final Problem was borderline too disturbing. I don't mind not watching it, but I'd like to know. How would you classify it? If you have time to answer. Thank you.

Hm... thanks for the indicators, I am thinking. Personally, I did expect a little more gore tbh, but they still show chopped off limbs, bloody meat, demon babies, etc. 

They did try to cover up a lot with camera angles, or sometimes Claes puts his coat over the bodies while he’s eating the blood. But yeah, it is quite dark, it may go up to a Kingsman level. 

Do others have more opinions on this?

Stories just sort of...happen. To John, to Sherlock, to everyone they know. It's yet another odd fact of life, that someone somewhere will start to write, and you'll get whisked off to...someplace (not here) until you've played it out.

Hey darling, this is another fic-finding ask! Sherlock retires to Sussex and lets John come with him. They're still platonic, but when John starts trying to date a woman from town, Sherlock puts his foot down. Grabs the phone from John an ends the call, saying that John is taking advantage of Sherlock if he thinks he can have everything exactly how he wants it, and if he wants to date others, he can live somewhere else. Or get his head around trying it with Sherlock. Sound familiar? Thanks!

Ahhhhhh, you know what? I feel like I have read this fic, but it’s KILLING ME because I have NO idea which fic it was. You can check to see if it’s on my Retirement Fics rec list, otherwise, let’s see if the Fandom Sphere can recall faster than I!! <3 I hope someone knows, because I’d love to read this!
