Mission Accomplished!
Today, Huders and I got a T Swift song stuck in Sami's head!
Man, today was pretty awesome! I submitted my potential courses to UMCP for the next semester so I can finally begin work on my degree at CP, even if on a light start!
I spent a little bit of time with the guys at the BJJ club at an SGA self-defense/stress relief event so that was cool. The Black Belt Club was around too and the way they were talking about BJJ in “practical self defense situations” (so they thought) made me almost ashamed to train the same art ad most of them (Tang Soo Do). Bit either way, the guess at the BJJ club were still great to be around.
The highlight of my day was being able to spend a good couple of hours at the recreational center with Sami and Huda. It was the first time we went as a trio (months since I’ve gone with Sami and first time with Huda) and I don’t think I’ve seen a more pleasant and enthusiastic person than Huda to be at the gym with. She wanted to do literally everything in the building and was just really ready to whack stuff lol. That’s a golden gym buddy. And Sami’s been elating my spirit more and more with her increasing interest in becoming healthier for the past month. Praying that keeps going because she was also stellar (that’s my word these days, guys- stellar) today. The three of us worked on cardio, core, flexibility, bag work, and some simple self-defense.
Both of them were just so frikin’ awesome and I love them both for putting in all that work and just existing and being there and so wonderful to be around. Also Huda said I was good at personal training so I’m taking that as the right catalyst to jump on some opportunities opening up for me in the field.
Beautifully productive day, mentally and physically.
Also, I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL MY NEW RASH GUARD COMES IN NEXT WEEK. And to buy a good pair of gloves and pads to help with personal and group training!
