"I suppose I didn't deserve a goodbye."
hey guys so um you know how. whenever huey recreates himself, he loses emotion, bit by bit?
considering Kuya is (most likely, alongside quincy) one of the last original clan members, do you think he noticed how huey just seemed to grow more and more deadpan over the years? do you think he has seen Huey's smile, heard his laughter or his anger, and then, as the years went by, Kiya never saw those again? Maybe even, in the present day, wonder if he had been hallucinating the whole time?
Do you think Kuya is prideful about having seen a Huey that no one else in this day and age has ever seen? Do you think Kuya tries to remember Huey's emotions, and compare them to Eiden, trying to see if they had any similarities at all? Trying to grasp and remember sights and sounds that were lost to time, with him being the only one who's lived long enough to even catch a glimpse of such a sight, yet too committed to the present moment to ever speak of them?
yeah I'll go now sorry for bothering you
parent/teacher conference.
Do you think Kuya likes kaleidoscopes because the shapes, colors and pretty lights in them remind him of the little cracks in Huey's skin.... or even Huey's magic.......................
There's a bunch of things I want to gush about maybe later but there's some KuyaHuey (Hueya?) worms I have from the event. Kuya wants attention so much, this time he joined the activities willingly and takes special glee on "teaming up" with the others even if it's hidden below multiple layers of irony. And then there's the story of the golden sparrow yokai that basically caged themself so they could receive attention and love from humans.
And I can't help but think about how much Kuya respected Huey and how much he must have tried to gather his attention only for Huey to probably never give him the responses he wanted. No entertaining faces, or playing along with his tricks. Or if he did play along, he probably didn't show any strong enough reaction or emotion. Just how Kuya hides himself from Eiden and gives him clues to find him, I wonder if he ever tried to do that with Huey, only for Huey to find him right away and get to business.
I wonder if his relationship with Huey was similar to the sparrow example he used, where he had all of the freedom, but not much of the attention.
FUCK YEAH WE DO
I'M ON MY WAY DARLING
