are you google? because you have everything i'm searching for.
Oh, I love the Google! Congrats, Hue, I think you’ve got all the ones in my queue beat, and it totally has nothing to do with the fact that it’s from you.
LEAVE ME CHEESY PICK UP LINES IN MY INBOX FOR VALENTINES DAY
TAGGING → Gracie Wood & Hugo Weasley (@hufflehugo)
TIMELINE → Saturday, February 6, 2024
SETTING → Hogsmeade
SUMMARY → Gracie and Hugo go on their first date.
GRACIE:
Gracie didn’t know why she was so nervous -- this was Hugo, her best friend. Spending the day together in Hogsmeade was what they did nearly every month, but this month it had the title of ‘date’ tacked onto it, and that still freaked her out. It had been two weeks since Hugo had told her he loved her, and Gracie still hadn’t quite figured out what to make of her feelings for him... but there was a slight flutter in her stomach as she wondered what today might hold, and she hoped that that was a good sign.
The Gryffindor had trusted at least a couple of her friends to help her, which is why when she went to meet Hugo, her hair was neat and loose, flowing around her shoulders instead of tied up in its usual ponytail. She was still in jeans and her normal shoes, but she had on a slightly nicer sweater than usual, and a cute coat she’d borrowed wrapped around her instead of her normal school cloak. Gracie stood at the spot they’d agreed to meet, repeating in her head that there was nothing to be nervous about as she waited for Hugo to join her.
TAGGING → Gracie Wood & Hugo Weasley (@hufflehugo)
TIMELINE → Saturday, January 24, 2024
SETTING → Hufflepuff Common Room
SUMMARY → Gracie comes to see Hugo after another day of Quidditch tryouts, but their conversation doesn’t go the way she expected.
GRACIE:
Another three hours of Quidditch tryouts were down, and as soon as Gracie had showered and put back on clean clothes, she headed straight for the Hufflepuff Common Room. She’d promised to keep him up to date on how things were going -- and honestly, after how hard she was working herself lately, Gracie was exhausted and needed her best friend.
Tapping on the barrels beside the common room entrance, Gracie waited for the door to slide open, then scrambled through, spotting Hugo in his normal seat immediately. She crossed the room and flounced down next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder and dramatically. “Do I really have to go to this party later tonight? I would have rather just had try-outs last for a few more hours,” she whined, even though she was sure as long as Hugo was by her side, she’d have a good time.
ROXANNE HAS BEEN HIDING HER COUSINS FROM ME FOR SO LONG AND I AM SO OFFENDED. I met her cousin Hugo today in class and he’s so funny. The teacher asked him a question and he didn’t know the answer, so he just told a joke instead, and the whole class burst out laughing.
I wonder if he’s good at Quidditch? Maybe I could forgive him if he’s not, as long as he keeps telling awesome jokes. And smiling. I like his smile, it’s one of those ones where you can tell he’s super honest and funny and that he actually really cares about people and about making them happy.
I’ve met all of the Weasleys in my year now (WHY WERE NONE OF THEM IN GRYFFINDOR? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?), or at least seen them, and I’ve decided Hugo’s my favorite. Sometimes you meet somebody and you can just tell. He might even be more awesome than Roxy! (But I bet I won’t think that once I’m not mad at her for hiding Hugo from me for ten years anymore, so et me get back to you.)
