Hufflepuff and Slytherin make a very good team. Slytherin’s more risk-taking orientation can help bring out the best in a Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff’s warm demeanor can lift the spirits of and give hope to a Slytherin. Should the Slytherin be an introvert they will have a personal cheerleader in a Hufflepuff. If the Slytherin is an extrovert they can be a driving force behind even the shyest of puffs.

Hufflepuff Quick Note 9

Perhaps the more unknown feature of a Hufflepuff is our love of hiding in bed when it rains. Nothing cheers us up more than to drink hot cocoa from the elves while under big quilts in the dark with a candle during a thunderstorm. And when the cocoa is drank we curl up like little cute badgers in a den.

Hufflepuffs are nice to people because they know what it is like to be judged without one knowing who you are. Their tolerance and fairness lead them to branch out with everyone so that they get along well with the other houses.  A common idea of, “A smile can go a long way,” resonates strongly to a Hufflepuff.  Or as Slytherin’s say “You’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar.”

Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw Quick Note 10 End of Volume 1

We badgers are a little well, off. Random bursts of daydreaming leads us to imagine incredible things. Our love of imagination gets us big props from Ravenclaw. In fact many hatstalls are the dreamy puffs or the patient claws like Luna. We should all remember to stop and smell the flowers. As Alice said, “You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, especially in a month or two.”
