11 - talk about your favorite first kiss.
this one was so fucking hard, so have some runners-up before i talk about the winner:
all of those are great, fantastic, satisfying in their own ways, but nothing can really top the following:
"They unfolded the cloth and ate some bread and cheese. For some reason their hands were slow and clumsy, and they hardly tasted the food, although the bread was floury and crisp from the hot baking-stones, and the cheese was flaky and salty and very fresh.
Then Lyra took one of those little red fruits. With a fast-beating heart, she turn to him and said, "Will..."
And she lifted the fruit gently to his mouth.
She could see from his eyes that he knew at once what she meant, and that he was too joyful to speak. Her fingers were still at his lips, and he felt them tremble, and he put his own hand up to hold hers there, and then neither of them could look; they were confused; they were brimming with happiness.
Like two moths clumsily bumping together, with no more weight than that, their lips touched."
it's- well, this kiss, it's the beginning of everything, but also the end of everything, you know? nothing really compares to these two. when i try to talk about his dark materials, i feel like mr knightley: "if i loved it less, i could talk about it more."
13 - has a ship ever broken your heart?
oh, so many. most of them, to be honest. some of the worst: ryan/brendon (and really that whole break-up), shannon/sayid, sam/dean, and of course david/jack.
16 - talk about a ship you initially disliked.
whenever i start in a new fandom, i'm a pretty avid OTPer. any ship other than the ONE THAT CONVERTED ME (usually) i try to avoid because it gives me weird feelings. once i've read most (enough) of that ship, i start to branch out and find other things in the fandom. it took me a looong time to get behind kirk/mccoy & spock/mccoy!
26 - have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?
i just asked demi if she could think of one, and her response was 'pain.' that's...not inaccurate. the more emotionally devastating, the more likely i am to be into it. probably going to end poorly? sign me up. that being said, i tend to like age differences. i tend to like assholes falling in love and learning to be less asshole-ish.
