i love them so much together forever and ever, they really have my whole heart
who’s the cuddler: Colin, no Qs asked. He doesn't even know he's doing it either. Sure, Jan will initiate cuddling when he's having a rough day or if he knows Colin is, but Colin will get his hands all over Jan until Jan is forced to ask how Colin is even able to cuddle him in this position.
who makes the bed: Jan. They're both slow getting ready in the morning and it's usually Jan who remembers to make the bed before they leave the house for the day.
who wakes up first: Colin. He likes to wake up and then spend at least 30 minutes in bed cuddling Jan (and kissing him awake? 👀) before actually getting up to tackle the day.
who has the weird taste in music: Jan. Colin usually chalks Jan's music taste to "just Dutch stuff" until one day when he actually takes a solid listen and realizes Jan just has an insane taste in music.
who is more protective: Jan. He is fiercely protective of Colin and he's not afraid to speak up about it. Has Jan killed to protect Colin before? In another timeline definitely.
who sings in the shower: Colin. He'll sing along to some Drake obviously but when he's a little tipsier the Welsh drinking songs definitely come out.
who cries during movies: Colin mostly but Jan will cry during a part of a movie that Colin will have never expected Jan to cry during.
who spends the most while out shopping: Colin. Luxury is something that's readily available to him and he's happy to use it as he can. Jan will splurge though when it's something he deems worthy of a splurge (like an engagement ring for when he finally proposes to Colin, say what?)
who kisses more roughly: Jan. Jan loses his fucking mind every time he looks at Colin. All he wants is to push Colin against a wall and leave the world's longest trail of hickies.
who is more dominate: Colin. Colin loves to take control and top and Jan is happy to relent.
my rating of the ship from 1-10: 23097498279482374298/10. Probably one of my first ships in TL. I love their dynamic and how blunt Jan is but how earnestly Colin will take it. Plus who doesn't love a height difference?

when I started shipping it if I did:
It was the looks okay. Especially the one in the haircut scene, where Colin glances over at Jan with this soft little smile. Had me dead, deceased, on the fucking floor.
my thoughts:
I think that Jan's a total romantic softie around Colin and, in usual fashion, he’s super blunt about it which overwhelms the fuck out of Colin at first. Once Colin adjusts to Jan constantly being so forward about his feelings, he’ll playfully tease Jan whenever he gets a lil romantic (and then he’ll do his best to be romantic back but Colin concedes that he’ll never be quite as romantic as Jan).
What makes me happy about them:
The height difference for one! Jan’s got just enough height to rest his chin on Colin’s head while they hug. And once again, those actual, for canon, little looks and smiles they give each other have me swooning all over the place.
What makes me sad about them
At first, Colin takes Jan’s bluntness super personally, especially when it’s critic on how he plays. But I like to think that gets resolved super quickly with the team getting Jan to be a little gentler with his bluntness and Colin going to therapy to work on his self-esteem.

I love slightly clueless Colin not realizing that he's dating Jan paired with Jan not DTRing from the get-go. Just a couple of adorable idiots in love. But truthfully, I just adore the two of them so much and enjoy anything I can get my hands on.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
For Colin, I'd say Isaac or Jamie.
For Jan, I'm going with Moe or even Dani.
My happily ever after for them:
They definitely get married and move to Wales with a house big enough to host an endless stream of visiting friends and family. Colin gets involved with local politics while Jan opens up a restaurant or something, maybe they even foster a few kids after they retire from football.
who is the big spoon/little spoon:
Jan's always the big spoon, he loves to hold his tiny little Welshman. Every once in a while, Colin will try to big spoon but it's always too weird for them and they revert to back to Big Spoon Jan within an hour.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
They like to cuddle and listen to music. Whenever a new album of an artist they like comes out, they dim the lights, cuddle up in bed, and listen to it together.
