Heewon x Hyunsung

As an Omniscient Reader manhwa reader, when, early last year, I found that Lee hyunsung and Heewon were romantic endgame I was honestly lowkey surprised Cuz like, I’m going to be honest I did not see much potential romantic chemistry or even slight pining in the start. In the latter arcs of the manhwa, definitely there is. But in the start, there was no romantic chemistry or something similar, so I lowkey thought the authors just came up with the idea a quarter way through…. 😭

But now I’m reading the novel… and honestly I see it It makes a lot more sense now lmao 😭

For example: As early as chapter 26 of the novel (which correlates to chapter 25 of the manhwa), there is a short scene (which the manhwa didn’t adapt) where the entire team is getting ready to go to the next subway station. And during this scene, Hyunsung is blanked out just staring at Heewon. It isn’t until Dokja calls out to him that he snaps out of it lol

Now Dokja is like, “I think I know what he’s thinking. He wondered if she was the woman who struck madness yesterday” But we know Dokja is wrong. Cuz everytime he guesses somebody’s thoughts correctly he gets the notification [ Your understanding of this person has increased ] But this time he didn’t get any. So it’s pretty obvious that he was blanked out for other reasons 👀 [Even if it’s not necessarily romantic reasons, at this point in the story, and is simply something like “awe” or “admiration”, that’s still way more than the manhwa set up earlier on lol. A lot of the set up in the manhwa for them doesn’t start until a quarter way through the available chapters. And even that is minimal until the later arcs of the manhwa with them]

Before I didn’t particularly ship Heewon and Hyunsung super strongly. But now I can see the appeal
