I’ve finally rewatched Pacific Rim (2013) and wow I’m actually crying tears about how good this movie is, and how powerful the concept of drift compatibility is (Apologies to those of you follow me on twitter or read my tags if you had assumed i had recently seen the movie based on how much I am fixated by the concept)

It's truly amazing our bond with other animals, we are so different than them in every way yet we effortlessly understand one another. We form bonds as strong as familial ties, sometimes even stronger with our animal friends. We mourn them just as hard as a loved one when they pass because they are loved ones, we don't understand each other's words but we somehow speak the same language and understand one another.

I love and hate how human beings longing deep connections with others. How even when I think i want " to be alone ", I actually just want to be with someone, who will understand me and won't judge. And how I love that I have person like that in my life. I love that just being around them, yapping about some stuff, reduces my anxiety and calms me down, when I'm not feeling great. And what's even more priceless is that they always come as soon as I ask them too, and I'm doing the same thing to them. Sometimes even without asking we do it. Soulmates don't necessarily have to be someone romantically. It's just the person, with whom you're feeling this deep bond and the feeling of being seen and understood.

I could leave this place, hop on a plane and go away to the other side of the world and all you would have to do is call or text me and say come back. Just to taste that nectar on your tongue, a thousand times I would be back, even if it meant I tasted you for a second.
