Death is the least scariest thing
An AU where the Justice League (yes, including Batman and associates) fucked up.
They signed the Anti-Ecto laws since scientists and hunters had brought forth the problems and proofs that ghosts (or ecto-beings) were dangerous and hostile.
The League didn't expect for this to become a problem until this practically became a genocide. Many ghosts were killed, or captured and tortured. Even Vlad was not the exception. Death was the ending for most, if not all.
Some (Sam, Tucker, the A listers and other people who protested against the anti-ecto laws) became casulty.
The last one to be caught was the ghost prince Phantom. In front of the Fenton hunters, the GIW and the Justice League, they watched in shock as the bleeding and dying prince transformwd back into a human boy with dark hair and cold blue eyes.
Danny, in anger and sorrow, cursed humanity to never witness the peace of death before passed away.
The aftermath was a mess. True to Danny's curse, no humans or even half human, even meta could not die. This would not be a problem if you are not sick, in prolongue pain. If you are not soldiers and were made to fight again and again. If you want to die, to be at peace but only found yourself hale and whole the next time.
War, terrorism and gang fights happened more and more. Human could feel exhausted and despair, but could not die.
The League tried to find a way to travel back to time, but with Clockwork around, they had very little luck.
Death used to be the scariest thing, until it became the most wanted.
