Humans are completely capable of understanding and accepting new information. The problem is the tendency to build entire personalities and identities around beliefs, mistake their personal attachment as a reason to get “offended” and insist the new information is therefore not true.

Science happened because people believed God created the mind for discovering the truth. In theory, the atheist rejects this idea. In practice, the atheist must assume it is true. Atheism is a world of contradictions.
