Solluxander Captor
Sollux is a bipolar nerd who spends too much time on his computer coding and playing dumb games, and is too apathetic most of the time to raise his grades out of the toilet. He also lives a dual life as a ghostly protector of Amity Park, hunting the ghosts that escape through his parents’ Ghost Portal. His being in the portal when it activated gave him his ghostly powers. He can walk through walls, disappear and fly, as well as shoot red-and-blue beams of ecto-energy from his hands and use the energy to make stuff levitate.
Aradia Megido
A young girl with macabre interests including, yes, ghosts. She befriended Sollux a long time ago after learning his parents were ghost hunters, then may have developed a bit of a crush on him since then. She prefers to study ghosts peacefully rather than fight them, but she is an expert at utilizing Captor weapons and is a proficient ghost hunter herself. An indispensable sidekick and friend to Sollux.
Karkat Vantas
Moody and irritable, he’s actually Sollux’s BFF. Tries monkeying around with tech all the time to one-up Sollux, but he’s horrible with any and all computers, much to his frustration. He cares aggressively about everyone he knows, and this is why Sollux sticks with him through their endless squabbles. Karkat convinced the Captors to build him a custom pair of Anti-Ghost Sickles, and he’s actually damn good with them, making him a threat to ghosts when he agrees to go hunting with Sollux and Aradia. He’d prefer to stay away from all ghostly activity, however. He’s scared.
Latula and Mituna Captor
Sollux’s parents, they are obsessed with ghost hunting and built their own portal to the Ghost Zone. Latula is a strong, skilled woman who kicks ass with her weapons, but she doesn’t build them half the time. Mituna, though scatterbrained and seen as a dimwit, builds most of the weaponry and is always tinkering to make new ghost-hunting gear. Latula and Mituna love each other dearly and nothing can keep this ghostbusting duo apart. But they keep trying to hunt their half-ghost son when they see him flying around and saving the day, not realizing that the ghost boy is their son.
Terezi Captor
Terezi is Sollux’s annoying brainiac sister, with straight-As and a shit-eating grin. She has seriously impaired vision but she’s extremely smart and studying to get into Harvard to become a lawyer. She doesn’t like her ghost-hunting parents much, but she can be a great weapons-user when necessary. Despite annoying the shit out of him on purpose, she cares deeply about her little bro and always looks out for him, even finding out his secret early but waiting for him to tell her on his own time.
Feferi Piexes
One of the most popular girls at school, she’s bubbly, cute, spirited and, to many, attractive. Sollux is drawn to her like a moth to a light for a good long time, but sadly, Feferi only has eyes for the ghost boy…the wrong Sollux. Aradia is always a bit on edge when Feferi’s around.
Meenah Fuchsia
Meenah is a strong, independent girl. When her family falls on hard times due to a job accident that ghost-Sollux caused during a fight, she develops a burning hatred for the ghost kid and receives an odd, sudden donation from Scratch Labs: Ghost-hunting gear built for her. She’s become a real threat to Sollux over time, and he can’t attack her full-force since she’s a classmate.
Eridan Ampora Eridan is the adopted son of the mysterious Doctor Scratch, who recently transferred to Casper High. This snotty rich boy has made himself Sollux's worst enemy at the school, competing for the affections of Feferi and battling with him in the halls due to stupid disputes and general hatred for the nerd. Eridan, however, also antagonizes Sollux as the second ghost boy in Amity Park- he smugly boasts he's Halfa 001 and created before Sollux, boasting that being made halfa in a lab is better than getting powers on accident after being fried in your parents' ghost portal.
Solluxandra Captor This young girl claims to be Sollux's cousin, but is actually a failed clone of him, 2 years younger and the wrong gender. Well. she's only 12 years old biologically. She's having her first birthday soon. She remains slightly unstable but flies around on her own, seeing the sights and helping out with ghost powers. Her number in the lab was Halfa 002, according to her. Slightly unstable, physically and mentally. She leaks ectoplasm when overexerted, and while generally more cheerful than her "cousin," Solara Captor is prone to more violent mood swings.
Maradi Odigem This mysterious girl transferred to Casper High a few months after Eridan, and she claims to be Eridan's adoptive sister in the Scratch household. She's generally quiet but likes flipping Sollux off when they meet in the halls. She avoids Aradia in the halls on purpose, and this coupled with her claiming to live with Eridan have raised Sollux and his friends' suspicion. They do know there might be a Halfa 003...but Maradi's never mentioned ghosts at all, so there's no way to prove if she is, in fact, 003.
But 003 looks similar to her, and the one time Sollux fought her (and lost) she revealed she was a cloned splice of two different beings, a ghost and a human, and she said she was her master's Handmaid. The mystery thickens.
Vriska Serket She is the ringleader of the popular Circus Arachne, which promises thought-to-be-impossible stunts...impossible for humans. Vriska controls ghosts with a spider-topped staff...because the spider holds a cueball-like crystal sphere. This crystal ball gives her her mind control. She robs from the cities she visits with the help of ghostly minions, who, disguised as humans, perform in her circus.She's arrested when she attempts to "recruit" Sollux into the circus but he breaks free to save a falling Aradia, leaving the staff to fall into the ravine below, destroying Vriska's power. The tattooed lady Porrim stays by her side without the staff, however. Vriska goes on to steal the Reality Gauntlet, only to be thwarted by Sollux, Karkat and Aradia once more. Currently in custody.
Captor Works
This is where the Captors live. On the roof is the Emergency Ops Center, full of all kinds of gadgets and gizmos. It even becomes a blimp! In the basement is the lab, full of prototype weapons and ecto-experiments, along with the Captor Portal, leading to the Ghost Zone.
Casper High
The school that Sollux, Aradia, Karkat, Feferi and Meenah attend, along with hundreds of other students. Prone to ghost attacks during passing period and rife with human bullies. Locker 724 is supposed to be haunted.
Nasty Burger
You can get a burger (nasty is one letter away from tasty) and then get a desert supplied to the chain by Betty Crocker. A popular hangout for Casper High students.
Scratch Labs
A prestigious lab churning out high-tech gizmos for the public…but the founder/owner is a mysterious man who does nothing but supply the funds. He has an adopted son named Eridan Ampora, so for a while everyone wondered if the owner was a Mr. Ampora. Eridan denied this and refused to say more. Everyone just calls him Doctor Scratch now. Not even the employees know his name!
Amity Park
The whole shebang. An average town, not too big or small, in the middle of the country. Not too special, apart from the frequent ghost attacks and the resident self-appointed guard-ghost.
