Let's Be Raw & Honest Human Mistakes or Errors Are Inevitable

Mistakes happen but it is not the end of the world

Let's get down to the dirty honest truth on making mistakes, and errors. We are human after all! As much as we organize our life; professional or personal we make mistakes. So let me peel this basic human trait like an onion for you; tissue box to your left  Growing up I had a mom who was creative, and one things she loved doing was painting. I naturally picked up the art myself; although I was a very harsh critic to myself. I would give up if I made the wrong brush stroke or used the wrong color. Nothing more annoying is trying to make something perfect to make everyone in awe; to having making a mistake and feel like you failed. You should have seen me, crying and throwing things like the world was over. Here comes mom and verbally paints a picture I will never forget and in fact I still use this image in my adult life. "Lisa, there is no mistake you can't fix or learn from", sitting there in confusion, wiping my tears I looked up listening "Look at this painting your stroke went left, but honey, if you wait just a second and stroke to the right on top it of it will fix itself". Still confused, she explained more "There is never a mistake that we can not fix in life. You just go over it, analyze it, accept it and then in a magical second it is fixed". She was right!! 

  Let's take a look at the statistics 

Humans as a natural trait make mistakes and errors, it is inevitable. But how we choose to move forward from that mistake or error is the key. Know that you are not alone professionally or personally, here is a chart that was done in 2008, by a researcher name Panko. 

LinkedIn Slide                              Let's Do This ~ No matter who you are or where you are the hard onion peel truth is we all make mistakes. Analyze ~ Take that mistake and analyze it, see how it became and why. Once you know the 'how' or 'why', write or draw out an outcome to fix it.  Learn ~ Learning from your mistakes or errors are actually not a let down, but a feeling of accomplishment. You overcame something and made it better.  Admit~ Admit to yourself you are human, nothing more. Humans make mistakes all the time. You will be your biggest critic and need to kick that critic telling them "NO! I can and will fix this"  Move Forward ~ Once you make the mistake and learn how it became, then how you overcame > Move On! Do not sit and dwell, you must push yourself to forgive and do. Remember people will respect the person who can admit, accept and rise above their mistakes.     

Now do yourself a favor, and tell yourself "I am ONLY human!"

A Theme from Medea

In the Greek tragic Medea, there are many themes that are represented. One of such is, "Human beings–not fate, not the gods, not bad luck–are the authors of their own misfortunes." This theme is a perfect example for this tragic and is expressed in many ways and many times throughout the poem. As shown in the poem, the Greek gods had little to do with the misfortunes of Jason and Medea. The only ones who brought doom were human. Medea killed her children, Creon exiled Medea, Jason decided to marry another woman, and Medea also killed Creon and his daughter. Fate nor the gods had anything to do with those events. Fate may bring us trouble and obstacles, but what we do with those mistakes and obstacles, is up for our decision to make. Also, it is our destiny to decide on how we are going to apply whatever we learned from that mistake to our own lives so that we don't make the same mistake twice. If fate were to be in control of our misfortunes, or the gods (what ever you believe in) then we, as humans, wouldn't last more that probably a week here on earth, let alone on space missions. For example, in the "Apollo 13" space mission, the explosion wasn't caused by some crazy god, nor was it just happened to have happened. The explosion was caused by a crushed oxygen line, which by the way oxygen is highly flammable if you didn't know. The oxygen tank used in "Apollo 13" was taken from the past ship "Apollo 10". During extraction and modification, the oxygen tank was dropped two inches. That caused an internal fill line to become jarred. Now, what dropped the oxygen tank? It was humans! We humans are to blame for that great misfortune. We humans, were also the authors of the deaths for all of the seven crew members of the "Space Shuttle Challenger." That incident was caused by humans deciding to launch a space mission on a cold January day. The rings that kept gases from leaking was made of rubber. When rubber gets cold, it constricts, making it less durable to stretch and fit into cracks in a space shuttle. So with that being said, fate might give us the roads and the paths in life, but, when a divide in that road occurs, we are the ones who decide on which path to take; even if we know what the outcome will be.

Human Mistakes

Being human, naturally i screwed up. It happens. Quite often to me, if i might add. Anyways, back to the main point, i lost my username and password for tumblr. There went my blog. But also being human, i decided to fix it. Welcome to my new blog :) I will reblog/copy and paste my previous posts.
