(Phoebe) *amazed* Static? Is it really you?
(Static) Oh hey Phoebe! Yeah! It’s me. Surprised to see me?
(Phoebe) Yeah! When did you get here, sparky?
(Static) About two weeks ago. How have you not noticed me?
(Phoebe) *resignation* I guess we just weren’t in the same place at the same time this whole time. Where you living at?
(Static) This secluded area up high in the northwest of the island.
(Phoebe) Ah, that explains a lot. I thought Olaf was still living there.
(Static) Is that who used to live there, krzzt?
(Phoebe) Yeah, the dude was really posh. His house was all gilded like, not solid gold like old mayor Nick’s place, rather just gold trim.
(Static) Speaking of him...have you noticed how eerily similar the human here looks to our old mayor?
(Phoebe) It isn’t just me? Yeah, it’s a little weird.
(Human Nick) I’m right here, you know. Who’s this other Nick fella you’re talking about?
(Static) *shock* AGH! *apologetic* Sorry about talking behind your back! *shyness* He’s this squirrel who was the mayor of Phoebe and I’s old town of Koridai.
(Human Nick) Oh? How so similar?
(Static) The messy hair, the puffy cheek, the glasses...
(Phoebe) The old mayor never brushed his fur. *laughing* He looked like a matted hairball!
(Static) Only real difference between the two of you I’ve noticed is his incisor isn’t as prominent as yours. You could see it when he talks, kinda like mine, but it isn’t always sticking out like yours.
(Phoebe) *thought* And, uh, he always wore the same shirt everyday, unlike your closet full of purples. He liked the color too, but not as prominently as you do, sparky.
(Phoebe) *daydreaming* He had this plain ol’ work tee with a cranberry red tie. He did have a purple tie, and also this neat little black-gray-white-purple striped tie, but he usually wore the red one.
(Human Nick) Huh...weird coincidence. I’ll have to visit the guy sometime.
