The artwork features Harry’s hand, and projected logomarks of each artist, referencing the Humane AI pin with themes of intentionality with technology in a still-physical world.
“Often cycling through ideas for covers with TDWP, we touch a range of mediums: from photos I’ve snapped through creative impulse, to bespoke illustrations - always the ‘idea’ or binding principle is the same. It’s why I spend the majority of the time just flinging ideas into paper. Tiny thumbnail sketches; less than an inch in size to get this array of order and composition.
I took this existing blurred hand photo I’d taken and I wanted to replicate the effect of the Humane AI pin projection has. After seeing this wonderful video from Gilbert too, this device has become this symbol of the time. Simultaneously obsolete and new. Tech and innovation, born out of the same reason: opportune profit.”
