One of the most terrifying things about the Genocide we are seeing in Gaza is this strange bystander effect among nations of the world – Israel slowly escalates its aggression towards Palestinians to prevent a collective breaking point, and now we see those in power just standing by as this has turned into a live streamed holocaust.
After two years of daily massacres and failed diplomacy, it's apparent that the only way to prevent Israel’s final solution from being played out is through military force.
Ending this madness through more meetings and people talking sadly seems inadequate. It has come to the point where diplomacy is complicity.
The right exists for the Secretary General to seek to put together an international defence corridor, a humanitarian corridor. Ireland has a military that is experienced in assisting humanitarian projects.
Any UN member state can propose a resolution, but do we even need to UN at this point?
Ireland – take a stand, lead the way in forcing open a humanitarian corridor in Gaza, as diplomacy has gotten us nowhere thus far, this is exactly what my petition demands.
We call on Ireland, home to a people with a long history of being colonized, humiliated and degraded – to break this silence, as we cannot afford to wait until someone else ACTUALLY challenges the state of Israel.
Of the western nations, Ireland should understand that decolonization cannot be purely diplomatic – seeking to end this Genocide through purely diplomatic means is unrealistic, and is blatant complicity.
