I feel like I need to rant real quick.

I really do not care if anyone doesn't like the movie or if anyone just likes the movie, but the whole discourse of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is embarrassingly stupid.

Like whenever I see people who are heavily defending the Mario Galaxy Movie. The two big arguments are always "Oh, it's just a kids movie! WTF were you expecting?" And "Oh, what were you expecting for a movie that is about Mario?" And honestly, those two arguments are pretty dumb. Like with the "It's just a kids movie" argument, especially. Because they're really good kids movies. For example, The Lion King (1994), Toy Story, and The Incredibles those are really great movies. And for the "What were you expecting for a movie about Mario?" argument isn't really good. Because they're ARE Mario games that have really good stories. For example, the Mario RPG games such as the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, Super Paper Mario, the Mario and Luigi games, and even Super Mario RPG have really good stories.

And whenever I see people who are hating on the Mario Galaxy Movie. The main arguments are, "It's just fan service" which, to be fair, I do understand why people have a problem with that, but I honestly do not mind it. And of course, the two biggest arguments are "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is the DEATH of cinema" and "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is WORSE THAN A.I" And, I'm sorry but those two arguments are extremely stupid! Like, if you believe that a Mario movie is killing cinema, you are WAY overreacting because a movie about a Nintendo franchise is not the end of the world! And "The movie is worse than A.I" argument is a big fat middle finger to anyone who worked so hard into making movies!

After hearing so many arguments on both sides, I'll just say that this one clip shows exactly how I feel about the whole discourse of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

So, in conclusion: If you like the Mario Galaxy Movie, that is fine. If you do not like the Mario Galaxy Movie, that is also fine. Learn to respect anyone opinion and don't go after anyone's throats.
