As someone who's clinically autistic and got bullied for it growing up, I found the joke pretty funny. Maybe a little crude but that's dark humour for ya.

You all make some good points and there's a a grey area with child support. In the situation with planned parenting (your case), the father has a responsibility to carry out and what he did was shitty. In the case of unwanted/unplanned pregnancy, there's a bit of a double standard where a woman can get an abortion if she doesn't want the child but the man does but vice versa, a man is liable to pay for child support, which I don't think is right. It's even more so fucked up with paternity fraud.

I don’t believe the father should have to pay child support if he explicitly expresses that he does not want the mother to continue with the pregnancy.  He has relinquished his rights as a father, and so should not have to pay child support in that case.

awh, thank you!

1. my eyes. I got a bit distracted in them in the mirror at work this morning. Not a good thing though!

2. my skin. Save for a cold sore and the occasional spot I have pretty clear skin. It's a gift!

3. my sense of humour. I make myself laugh, I like that!

4. my family. Not strictly about myself but it is something I like about my life: they may not be perfect but they're mine and they love me!

5. my taste in friends. Most of my friends have stayed with me through my life - the ones who didn't weren't worth knowing in the first place!

1. where do you live?

I live in Glasgow. I'd be more specific but the place I live in is not well known.

2. Are you actively involved in a fandom? if yes, which one and what do you you do?

I am involved in many fandoms and at this precise moment in time I am writing fan fiction for Criminal Minds, Star Trek (AOS at this point in time but I want to start writing Enterprise and TOS fics) and Doctor who.

3. Did you take part in the ice bucket challenge?

not yet because I've not been nominated. I will take part if I am nominated though.

4. Favourite type of ice cream?

I like a lot f ice cream. I just like ice cream!

5. You can go back in time and meet one famous person. Who would you like to meet?

Now you're asking! There are a few people no longer with us I'd liked to have met: Judy Garland, Micky Rooney, Robin Williams, James Stewart, Rikki Fulton, Rik Mayall and many others. I don't think I could pick just one!

well no one's ever had food poisoning from my cooking! I think that constitutes as a not bad cook!

Sadly no, just stayed within Europe. In fact I've only ever been out of Britain once!

10. If you were to commit suicide how would you do it?

I think I'm ready to talk about the way I actually envisioned myself committing suicide from when I was suicidal. I actually envisioned myself taking all the pills in my medicine cabnet. Whenever I felt suicidal I'd open the cabnet and look in: I never had the balls to do it though!

11. Favourite sports?

I like to play badminton and tennis. I haven't played either for a while though!

I don't know whether you're a feminist or not but regardless, I just really REALLY want to thank you for your post on raising awareness on male EDs. Not a lot of people acknowledge it and though my case wasn't as extreme as an ED (it could've been EDNOS) but either way, I starved, it was unhealthy, I felt very anxious around certain foods and I've had my issues disregarded or mocked at as if I'm supposed to "take it" just because I'm a male. Honestly, God bless you :3

OH, my goodness, this ask is the nicest thing I've ever received, I swear. I'm so glad that you seem to be doing better, because you're so important and I know that you know that but it's nice to hear sometimes. You being male has nothing to do with it, but you're such a wonderful person. Seriously, I do the social justice scene on a pretty popular SJ blog, and you're my idol. I look up to you so much. Thank YOU for everything that you do, and everything you're going to continue doing. Thank you so much. :)
