Humans are space orcs, an observation.
I've seen dozens of posts about this circulating around. Dazzling bits of story threads, randoms sparks of creativity about humans being this super race in the space game. I absolutely love it!
For so many to have written so much about humanity being this super race of helpful, deturmined, terrifying, and indestructible beings means that within each of us probably lies the potential to do and to be everything we've been writing about.
I love the idea that any of us humble homosapiens here on Earth would rise to the occasion and do the right thing, or even just do the hard thing. If you were plucked out of this reality, and sent to the future AU that is "Humans are Space Orcs" would you eventually meet these expectations? I bet you would!!
I bet I would.
We're adaptable and tough. We are compassionate and quirky.
We would strive to be not only the strongest warriors of the universe, but also the best friends of it too.
Congratulate yourself today writers and idealists. This seed of an idea, this ember of a dream, has given a lot of you a chance to imagine and share the best parts of us becoming the average of us. And that is a dream worth holding on to!
