The Most Powerful Force Next to Love is...

The most powerful force in the universe next to love is humbleness. Humility is the birthplace of all success. In Matthew 23:12, Jesus says that "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." Further, if one wants to be great, Jesus tells us in Matthew 20:26, "If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others."

In our worldly definition of success, Jesus' statements sound illogical. Our view to achieving success is to be ruthless and selfish. But, Jesus tells us to be a servant with a humble heart. When you analyze this closely, Jesus' approach is logical. Why do I say this? Because when you are humble-servant in your journey to greatness, you develop the needed traits on your journey. These traits include being service-oriented, having a mentoring mindset, being a good reconciler, being honest to admit mistakes, having a grateful heart, being flexible in dealing with people, and being teachable.

Being humble is a small means to attain a more tremendous end- achieving success and greatness. More importantly, a humble servant knows that his real reward is Jesus Himself and living with Him for all eternity.

Let's go back to HUMILITY IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF ALL SUCCESS. Do you want to be successful? Be humble. Also, believe that the most potent force in the universe is humility next to love.

The world says, if you want to be great, climb the corporate ladder or scramble to the top or claw your way to success. But Jesus says, if you want success, be a servant. Take the lowest position. Get to the last place.

Well, we all know for a fact that no one wants to lose. But this is what a humbled servant does. He loses for a purpose- to win big.

So how do you become a Humble-Servant? Humility comes from humiliation

Have you ever been humiliated? Have you ever fallen? God only uses broken people. From your brokenness, your service for God will birth.

Be a humble servant, and you don't have to chase after victory. Victory will chase after you. Miracles will chase after you. Abundance will chase after you.

Deep

Let's go deep. Deep into my heart. Deep into my mind. Deep into the depths of my soul. Do this and you will see where my creativity comes from. The source of my blood, sweat, and tears. I put all of it in my art so that it will feel like I'm always there. That is what being deep means. So let's all be deep.

June, 3 (Evening) Devotion

“He humbled himself.”

Philippians 2:8

Jesus is the great teacher of lowliness of heart. We need daily to learn of him. See the Master taking a towel and washing his disciples’ feet! Follower of Christ, wilt thou not humble thyself? See him as the Servant of servants, and surely thou canst not be proud! Is not this sentence the compendium of his biography, “He humbled himself”? Was he not on earth always stripping off first one robe of honour and then another, till, naked, he was fastened to the cross, and there did he not empty out his inmost self, pouring out his life-blood, giving up for all of us, till they laid him penniless in a borrowed grave? How low was our dear Redeemer brought! How then can we be proud? Stand at the foot of the cross, and count the purple drops by which you have been cleansed; see the thorn-crown; mark his scourged shoulders, still gushing with encrimsoned rills; see hands and feet given up to the rough iron, and his whole self to mockery and scorn; see the bitterness, and the pangs, and the throes of inward grief, showing themselves in his outward frame; hear the thrilling shriek, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” And if you do not lie prostrate on the ground before that cross, you have never seen it: if you are not humbled in the presence of Jesus, you do not know him. You were so lost that nothing could save you but the sacrifice of God’s only begotten. Think of that, and as Jesus stooped for you, bow yourself in lowliness at his feet. A sense of Christ’s amazing love to us has a greater tendency to humble us than even a consciousness of our own guilt. May the Lord bring us in contemplation to Calvary, then our position will no longer be that of the pompous man of pride, but we shall take the humble place of one who loves much because much has been forgiven him. Pride cannot live beneath the cross. Let us sit there and learn our lesson, and then rise and carry it into practice.

I hate my job

A place where the income is low and the hours are the same. A place where I really shouldn't be but I'm here anyways. It's not like I can quit. Then I won't have any money at all, and I've filled every application I could think of. No one is trying to hire me. I guess it doesn't help when I'm in my mid 20's with little experience, but I'm willing to learn though they don't care I don't know what to do. So I keep going back. Dying slowly to this place. This job that I hate.

The Church

What is the church? Is it a building with decorations? Pictures of God and his leaders? Is it services and shouting? No the church is his bride. The body of Christ. We are the church. We are his. We have his heart and his love, his mind and wisdom, his soul and righteousness, or at least we should. Somehow, someway, we've lost track of that. We have to do better. This is the reason why we are losing members. No one has balance any more. In all things do in love. Use wisdom to know what to say. Last speak and live in righteousness. The bride has run away and the body is broke. We need to be like Christ again. That's what the church is.

Broke(n)

You know its hard to be the man of the house. When you don’t even have the money to buy the pants. When you don’t have any money it seems like the weight of the world is on me. I feel broken but I won’t break. Might bend but it’s not over. I won’t give up because I have to many people counting on me, waiting for me, hoping for me to get out of this rut. So I might be broke but I’m not broken.
