It recently occurred to me that there's a kind of externally sourced variant of "humblebrag" which is when someone else makes a show of teasing you mercilessly for something that's generally understood (at least by the teaser) to be a positive quality, so that the teasing is meant as a sort of implicit compliment delivered in a sardonic way. Like humblebragging, this kind of behavior can backfire. It is most definitely a thing and deserves its own name.

Everything hurts.
However, given that I just completed the Race to the King ultramarathon (walking 53.3 miles non-stop, overnight), this is to be expected. If anything, I’ve got off pretty lightly - minimal blisters, no permanent knee damage, no grazes, sprains, breaks...
Now please excuse me while I sleep for 12 hours.
