Had a dream that I was low key seducing my ex, even though he's married, just to prove that I'm the best he ever had. I don't know why I dreamed that since I haven't seen or spoken to him in years.
‘If I were a…’ tag.
I was tagged by deantherednosedhunter (thanks babe)!
If I were a month, I’d be September. If I were a day of the week, I’d be a Friday afternoon, when the frenzy of the week has begun to die down and one can begin to unwind for a weekend of relaxation. If I were a planet, I’d be Saturn! If I were a god or goddess, I’d be Sekhmet, because I believe in either healing or destroying as the situation calls for it. If I were a sea animal, I’d be a killer whale. They are really close knit with their families and fierce hunters. If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be a desk! If I were a gemstone, I’d be a moonstone. If I were a flower, I’d be a dark red Gerbera daisy. If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a chilly autumn day, with light rain in the evening. If I were a color, I’d be blood red. If I were an emotion, I’d be chrysalism, the amniotic tranquility of being indoors during a thunderstorm. If I were a fruit, I’d be a pomegranate. If I were a sound, I’d be a sigh. If I were an element, I’d be water. If I were a place, I’d be a colorful, sprawling coral reef. If I were a taste, I’d be iced chai tea with soymilk. If I were a scent, I’d be petrichor. If I were an object, I’d be a sword. If I were a body part, I’d be a hand. If I were a song, I’d be Delilah by Florence + The Machine If I were a pair of shoes, leather knee high boots.
wiccan-life tagged me to write 5 things I like about myself! This is a nice idea~~
1. Optimistic: Life is abundance, it is exciting, it is beautiful! I am so happy to be alive and to be experiencing this lifetime. We are powerful beings of light and nothing can take that away! I know the truthfulness of the Law of Attraction - positivity multiplies & attracts positivity.
2. Resourceful: 2014 was the most difficult year of my life thus far. A lot of challenges came my way: figuring out life after dropping college, homelessness, living covertly on a campus, moving three times, escaping a crazy landlady, figuring out how to survive NYC with little/no money, living in NYC in general, rent $, food $, finances, working all the time, returning to college, and all the other things. I make it work. When I have my sight set on something, I figure it out. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! And I’m still alive & moving forward!
3. Passionate: My passions & emotions have always had a strong effect on my life (hello, my name is Cam and I’m a Cancer). They’ve given me the necessary drive to do what I’ve done with life so far and are constantly propelling me into the future; into the Now. I absolutely love hearing people talk about something, anything, that they’re truly passionate about.
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for - and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool - for love - for your dreams - for the adventure of being alive.
-Oriah Mountain Dreamer
4. Appearance: This is an on/off one. I’m working on letting go of worrying about my appearance which is obviously difficult, especially in a world so critical of physical appearances. Regardless, while sometimes I’m pretty harsh on myself, other times I do like the way I look. Also, my boyfriend makes me feel amazing in my skin and I guess that’s part of me that charmed him so that’s a fucking huge plus.
5. Perspective: I come from a family (extended and immediate) who all share different beliefs from me on many levels. Growing up in this created plenty of tension and issues, and maybe still will, but it also helped me discover myself while understanding their point of view. I’ve been able to apply this perspective-shift in countless situations at work, school, rehearsals…in daily life! You don’t have to accept it, but understanding a different perspective is essential. It’s the only way we can really grow and to do otherwise is literally the definition of small-mindedness. Shift that perspective!

Hi!
How is everyone?
I haven't been around much. I've been feeling icky. Also, finals. It will be over soon though. I hope everyone has been well!
Also, if you're going to see Battle of Five Armies this Wednesday, high five for you!
*high fives*
I did not anticipate this kind of reaction at all! I will tell you though, I looked at your about me and your faq to get a feel of your personality. I used that to pick the theme, songs, and overall feel of the playlist. I am very glad you liked it! Happy holidays!
Well, you did wonderfully (I'm assuming--how many people see themselves accurately? I'd say very few and I'm probably not one of them haha). I seriously love it, and will probably even use it as a soundtrack for some of my shenanigans--I always soundtrack my shenanigans.
Happy Holidays to you as well!
Hi, Zee! I saw you were taking playlists as part of your witchy wishlist. Well, I made one for you! You can find it under your URL's tag. :)
I really wish I could articulate what I'm feeling right now, but all my emotions are tumbling against each other like articles of clothing in an industrial dryer.
This is such a lovely mix of songs I know and love, and songs I'd never heard before but are equally as awesome. And funnily enough, a lot of these songs either have personal meaning for me, or ended up having lyrics pertaining to things I've been questioning. Felt a bit like answers to some things I've been struggling with, which is weird and wonderful.
I just...thank you, Inara. Sincerely. I'm going to be buzzin' off this for months! <3 <3 <3
I made a playlist for witchcunnt as requested on her witchy wishlist. Give it a listen HERE
