Bit of a sneaky plot twist there, amirite?
A lot of people who hate on Christians have had bad experiences with Christianity/the church in the past. They're used to being judged and hurt for who they are, and because of that, they judge and hurt others.
It's important to remember that the world isn't black and white. The people who scream curses at you and insult you for your identity in Christ probably have people they love and are kind to.
Does this mean it's wrong to feel upset and hurt by their actions? Absolutely not! Your feelings are completely understandable. But we are not called to act like this world. We're called to be examples of Christ.
It's rough, but Jesus never said it would be easy. What's important is that you keep pressing towards the goal. I forget this a lot, chances are you do too. I'm probably going to contradict what I'm saying at some point, because I'm sinful and broken just like anyone else. For that I'm truly sorry.
I love you, God loves you, and I know you can do this 🫂💛 stand strong fellow Christians
Just saw my own post on my For You page, Tumblr regifted me my own content LOL
me and the mutual with remarkably different perspectives on life
Me: yeah I guess I don't really like this thing
Person: *completely whole-hearted in love with the thing* hey wanna hear about the thing
Me: absolutely please tell me more
if you wanna learn without researching, confidently say the wrong thing on tumblr.
pros: you get to be taught stuff for free
cons: they will tell you to kill yourself which is not ideal
I love when people like things I don't. I'm glad you can see the beauty in something I couldn't, and your enjoyment makes me appreciate its existence a little more
pesky ocs always having free will and doing what they want
